Say you were writing an app that is designed to be a companion when playing DnD. For the DM it holds notes, generates random character names, supplies random items and more. Hiya Fediverse! I'm Grace - a 40-something that is getting to do a whole lot of self discovery "late" in life.
After I finally stopped drinking and got "California Sober" - :verified420: - I realized what I was drinking to numb... the fact that I wasn't giving the real me the space I deserved.
I live in a red state in the US, so I'm taking my time with socially transitioning. I don't know where I will land - right now I am enjoying taking my time listening to myself and figuring out what is right for me.
And if anyone has recommendations on skirts for a large-waisted 5'10" person (us size 16-18, 36/30 or 38/30 in mens pants), please LMK! Everything I have tried on Amazon is dog shit and it is still scary to walk into a brick & mortar store to find things.
I am really enjoying diving into jewelry, press on nails (which are doing wonders for stopping my nail biting), fashion, and makeup. Hopefully someday soon I'll be able to share a face photo with some makeup I'm proud of. But right now it looks very "first time using makeup"... mainly because it is.
Other things I love - #DungeonCrawlerCarl, #TTRPGs, using #archLinux via #CachyOS, #ffxiv, and tinkering on bicycles.
I have an amazingly supportive partner and she is been my rock as I started to come out to myself and then her. I'm still looking for in-person community as well, but being in a suburb of Dallas doesn't make that easy.

i must say, the Friends and Rivals system in Blades in the Dark and inspired systems is so useful for a GM, especially if you then let the players tweak each NPC to make them more personal. it's a great way to create recurring characters other than the various factions.

The #Replaced #videogame is due to be released today; I might buy it today on the 1st day. It’s said to have a #BladeRunner / #Cyberpunk vibe. As a long-standing fan of the genre and #TTRPGs, I can’t really see the appeal in the #corporate cash-in that is #Cyberpunk2077. We’ll see. #cyberpunk2013
