  1. Playing Silk Dust (darwinne.itch.io/silk-dust) on the Delta. Given that it is open source, I modified it so it doesn't need to be split into multiple parts, plus it works in 80 columns mode.

There is a certain pleasure in playing a game you hacked around with, typing on a keyboard you designed, connected to a computer you recovered from a 40y old magazine, reconstructed, hacked and improved upon.

    Plus, it's a great adventure.

  2. Old school DRAMs have a lot of timing requirements. I’ve been validating output from the #CPCZERO sequencer prototype against them - and everything checks out 🙂

Comments in my notes are where the timings depend on other components, such as the multiplexers.

  3. Time to toggle off the Zodiac project while I wait for a couple missing parts to show up. Moved over to my Cyberspace-1 home brew 6502 project. Remaining parts showed up for that yesterday so had a Zen solder party to get this one ready for bring-up tomorrow. If this works, I can continue design work for the CPU card, memory card and Video/IO card. Loosely based on the HBC-56 homebrew computer by a GitHub user called visrealm. #homebrewcomputer #6502CPU

  4. I've hacked together a vbcc backend for it, so now it can run some simple C programs. This mandelbrot program only takes twice as long as my hand-written assembly version.
