Currys are so full of shit.
I reported on eBay that I hadn't received my item and Currys tried to blame Royal Mail.
Whenever I tracked it, Royal Mail said they hadn't even received it. Now that I've reported it, a miraculous miracle of epic proportions has occurred, Royal Mail now appear to have my package and are delivering it tomorrow.
A Christmas miracle...

It's so difficult to make ethical choices when purchasing.
My washing machine 'died' mid-week, though after at least 20 years service I suppose it doesn't owe me anything. I cdn't buy the model I wanted at my preferred store so I reluctantly bought from #Currys (UK).
The next morning I received a faux service call and the guy proceeded to try to sell me insurance. I tried to stop his spiel, but he just carried on with his script. After 4 "No thank you"s, at increasing volume, I hung up.
GAH!

Trying to find a replacement #woodburning kit based on recommended brands by the instructor of a course my wife gave me.
Always check things *very well* before buying. I found two deceptive sites redirecting search results to fake websites, both with the #currys logo on them.
I haven't added alts, as I don't want to give these fake #scam sites more exposure.

1/2 Epic fail in #Currys #Tralee last week. Specs of #Macbooks not displayed on shelf. Asked salesperson to confirm whether M1 or M2. Said person unlocked session on one, to a screen full of running apps and waiting prompts (script kiddies playing around with OSA). Incapable of shutting them down without rebooting, so showed them how. Then showed them how to find the sysinfo. Salesperson admitted they knew nothing about macOS. 🤦♂️

Permit me to share a double-facepalm moment.
- Sent TV to Currys for repair, dutifully packaged with all original parts, including the screws to attach the stand.
- TV returns a week later, repaired, but minus the pack of screws.
- Contact Currys repair service to ask them to send screws.
- Repair service advises (after slow exchange of emails) that screws cannot be posted.
- Rather than post the screws, they want to arrange a courier to collect the TV, return it to the workshop, find the screws, then put the screws back in the TV box and send back the TV (which will no doubt take another week).
It's like six machine screws. Argh!
