  1. Coastal communities across Ireland and Scotland will host simultaneous screenings of the documentary Shanshula this Thursday 20th of February

Directed by Palestinian filmmaker and human rights activist Musheir El Farra Shanshula follows the Palestinian fishing community’s struggle for survival under Israel’s decades-long blockade and now genocide of the Gaza Strip.

There will be four screening locations Kerry, #Dingle, #Castlegregory, #Tralee and #Fenit.

  2. Any Irish/Munster people know of similar paintings to these in their local businesses?

They are from the early 1980's, pretty distinctive style and signed 'E Cotter'. Mr. Cotter, who I understand was from Cahir seems to have traveled around painting these on spec for businesses.

These two paintings are hanging in the Green Rooster #Tralee and Scally's Supervalu #Clonakilty, surely there are more out there...

  3. The joy of Open Data #24734

A new bus service is due to commence in my area but the route and timetable have yet to be published, nothing on the operators website.

The operator is mandated to publish it's data so I pull the latest GTFS from the Transport For Ireland site and there it is, looks like it is due to start on the 1st of July.

  5. 1/2 Epic fail in last week. Specs of not displayed on shelf. Asked salesperson to confirm whether M1 or M2. Said person unlocked session on one, to a screen full of running apps and waiting prompts (script kiddies playing around with OSA). Incapable of shutting them down without rebooting, so showed them how. Then showed them how to find the sysinfo. Salesperson admitted they knew nothing about macOS. 🤦‍♂️
