90 minutes from Dublin by train sits Athlone and Sean's Bar, the oldest pub in Ireland. An hour and a half gets you to Kilkenny, where the Smithwick's brewery tour is the only beer tour I've done that includes a centuries-old ruined abbey. Taking to the road next week to cycle #Eurovelo 1 from #Belfast to #Sligo. As well as the route shown if the weather behaves a little I’m going to add loops of the Sperrins, Inishowen & Boa island (I want to see the ‘Janus’ statues. if it’s glorious I might even head back to a couple of favourite wild camping spots
I intend to finish the two other ‘missing’ sections of #EV1 in Ireland over the summer so that in the winter I can create a full set of videos of every part
