No phone calls in or out for a few days.
The 3 network are turning off 3G services and it appears to be knocking everything else out.
Beyond awful.

FFS, I hate companies.

#IDMobile PAYG occasionally fails to send SMS despite having 4G or 5G signal. Customer services just say "sorry, congested network" - busy in a way that checking emails worked but a tiny SMS wouldn't? 🧐

So I give in and install #WhatsApp. But don't grant it address book permissions. Two weeks and two dozen messages to three family members later and my account is now blocked for a second time! 😒

And OF COURSE they don't tell you anything when they unlock your account.

Had some issues with SMS not sending on #IDMobile despite having good 4G/5G signal (and I'm fairly sure I could at least check my emails). ID Mobile just said "network was congested - try later or try elsewhere" 🙄

Signed up to #WhatsApp because family are on there and maybe it'll let me message when SMS fails. Found ways to add the three people that I care about without granting it access to my ENTIRE address book.

Just got notified that my WhatsApp account is suspended! Requested a review 😐

Anyone know of an #openSource #wifiCalling dialler app for #android ?

My network (#plusnet) shut down and I've moved to #idMobile who resell #ThreeMobileNetwork which has rubbish reception. They say enable wifi-calling which is available in Samsung Phone app but I'm pretty sure tells Samsung about every call I make.

Until needing this feature I've used Simple Dialler from #fDroid which is good but doesn't support wifi calling

Anyone on UK network #iDMobile able to help a test, I am trying to see if you can text +447441144744 or not. (yes, it is on Three, but Three works fine).

Yes, getting number blocks hosted is a pain, and thanks to @AlisonW for her tests so far, but we think it may just be her number somehow, hence needing a couple more tests.
