Had a bit extra time today to work on my 737-800 model. All of its parts are now painted and the rest I planned on doing with water-transfer decal paper.

I've used it back in the days on smaller models, but always whatever came with the kits. This time I'm making my own. I got transparent and white laser-printable decal paper, a new acquaintance for me. I made the pictures with #inkscape and then got onto toying with them.

The fuselage logo and registration number came out alright, ditto with overwing exit guides.

However the vertical stabilizer logo turned out to be problematic. The yellow printed on transparent doesn't cover the blue background and when printed onto white paper I'd have to cut it very precisely, which will also make it a total chore to get there in one piece.

The long yellow stripe is most likely also going to be a decal, I'll have to play around with these a bit to see how I'd do it.

It's just unbundled.

We love #ryanair . If you take all the options it's about same cost as a 'full price' airline, and we don't have to scramble for our seats, which are reserved. We check our baggage. Their timekeeping is good.

My kids use it differently: beachwear in a carry on coop carrier bag, book last minute, sit where they are told, 29 GBP for a week in the sun.

Great to see #capitalism in action once again. I don’t remember last time a #ryanair flight was on time…
