A couple of weeks ago I discovered the Studio 2.0 program to make Lego figures and I was having fun creating this. It's a little Anubis chest, and it's functional! It can be opened! :blobfoxwhoaa:

Made this illustration of #Osiris using Copic markers and Zebra ballpoint pens. The figure is a paper cut out that I attached to thicker coloured paper. I like the contrast between the smooth and more toothed papers.

My reference was a votive sculpture from the Ptolemaic dynasty, this is the Macedonian/Greek dynasty in Egypt. I also looked at some frescos of Osiris for examples of the colours.

I'm gearing up to release into the wild my new #Kemetic #Discord #server I'm very excited :)

This will be for all Kemetic paths (there are so many!) to hang out with nothing being pre-loaded, no expectations of what or how you believe or practice, for the curious and the experienced. Mutual respect is a must, as there is no "one-true-Kemetic path".

I think it will be fun... if I can get people to join 😅 if not, it will just be like 5 of us hanging out, but we'll be the best 5, pfft.

The server is functional now but there's much to be done in terms of customization, so I may just open it and let it evolve as people have suggestions, we'll see how that goes.

So in case it wasn't obvious yet to some of my #Kemetic and #KemeticOrthodox followers, the following two changes have happened:

First, I've resigned from being a Baku (temple servant) in the House of Netjer, including moderation and anything else I've assisted with in the past.

Second, I am no longer a Shemsu Ankh or a Shemsu (new) within the House of Netjer Kemetic Temple. I am now a Divined Remetj.

When I started to write this, I had to stop myself from writing things like "I am now only a Divined Remetj" or "I've dropped down to Divined Remetj", because it's a negative statement which does not need to exist. Don't get me wrong, there is most definitely a hierarchy in the House of Netjer Kemetic Temple -- we can deny it all we like, but the proof continues to be there -- however a hierarchy does not necessitate judgment for whatever ring of said hierarchy on which you happen to exist.

Basically, if anyone is there for titles to "win the game", they've missed the point entirely.

So aside from what has changed, let's talk about what hasn't:

🅐 My spirituality and my faith: I am still a Kemetic polytheist, just like I was a Kemetic #polytheist last week, just like I'll be a Kemetic polytheist next week.

🅑 My House membership: I haven't "left" the House (at least as of writing this post), I'm simply no longer a Shemsu. Those are not one in the same thing.

🅒 My Gods, in particular my Parentage: I accept my RPD results, and will continue to do so, because I know them to be completely true. More on this later.

🅓 My name: it was given to me by Wepwawet.

🅔 My community: Nothing changes in how I interact with my Kemetic friends, at least I personally don't think so anyway.

It's hard to fit all the reasons is a neat little box that this is happening, and there are for certain some larger posts to come... but for now, what's needed to be done, is done, and I am better for it.

I do hope I don't lose any friends over this decision, though if you only had me added "because I was a Shemsu" and don't give two hoots about me any other way, I don't think very highly of you -- but unfortunately in the days/weeks to come, it may happen anyway, as I am not one to sit still and be silent.

I didn't come all this way and make all this change not to talk.

New statues for #Hethert, #Nut, and #Amun

In 22 years I have never had my entire lineup have proper statues (only Wepwawet did) -- Hethert, Amun, and Nut have always had non-#Kemetic iconography on my shrine, just kind of worked out like that, and They were certainly OK with it.

But now Everyone has something, and I just feel really good about that.

My signature #3Dprinted jackal (#Wepwawet, #Kemetic #God #AncientEgypt) got an upgrade this weekend! I re-designed the head from the ground up, designed a new decorative base that is printed in pieces and then assembled. Added glitter 🙂

The base comes completely apart into pieces (top/bottom and 4 sides) which I did so I could more easily have hollow cutouts on the side (easier to 3D print flat pieces with holes than upright ones).

Added a printed gold box inside the base during assembly for a bit of bling but it's difficult to see. I think it will be better if printed bigger (that's probably the next step, go big or go home).

Big thanks to #Sovol #SovolSV06 printer, and #PrusaSlicer 2.6 Alpha 3. Honorable mentions to #TinkerCad, #Fusion360, and #MeshMixer, because I suck at #3dmodeling and needed no fewer than 3 programs to get this done :blob_rave:

There are literally hundreds of #Kemetic holidays/festivals, and some of them run for a 10-day week.
Of course that's adding together things from several thousand years, and some were regional as far as we know. Some are aligned with moon phases- new moons especially. Or things like 6 days after the new moon is a festival for the Blessed Dead. Other things are pegged to x-number of days after the star Sirius appears over the horizon. New year's happens sometime in the Summer.

Most people do the major ones, and then pick minor ones they like. Different groups set their new year to different days.

Chewing Onions for Bast is a popular holiday.

For instance, for this coming Sunday the day's deities are:
Hathor, Lady of Astonishment
Horus, Great of Magic, and
Kherty.

It's the Nighttime Procession of Neith
Feast of Nebtu
Feast of Horus

Cairo Calendar (a bit like a quicky horoscope) says:

Finally upgraded my big shrine to the modern look I was craving. No more hand-me-down wood/glass table falling apart at the seams, no more $10 shitty walmart table. (my little daily shrine is still off to the right)

Perhaps a Re-#Introduction is in order since there's so many more people in this space to share stories and insights with.

I'm an #Alchemist. I manipulate symbols and materials to effect #transformations and thus transform myself.
My practice was revealed to me in a series of trances by an ancient #goddess who has many historical forms. Some of these are the #Kemetic goddesses known as the Eyes of Ra. She recently revealed to me that she would like me to refer to her as #Hathor. I'm not second guessing that advice.

I'm a cis het old guy (58) happy married for 25 years. I adore women. Mostly from afar.

Race- white, blue eyed ethnic jew.

My technique is centered on an apparatus I built based on a design the goddess revealed. I later connected the components and operation symbolically to equipment and processes described in classic #Alchemy sources.
I'm a non-traditional Alchemist. I don't use a forge or do metallurgy. My device is electrical and uses a type of #crystal to focus energy. It can roughly be described as a type of lamp. The picture shows the output of my process. It's called a #Violograph.

It is commonly asserted, and I agree, that the coveted philosopher's stone refers to the practitioners themselves. As the goal of the process it is in reality the transformed person.
This is done by separating the spirit and soul from the #body, changing them and then re-uniting them in the body again. Carl #Jung has some interesting ideas on this.

Politically- #anarchosyndicalist and card carrying #Wobbly. I’ve been working at the same factory for 28 years.
