This is my personal favorite #poem. I got "tempered glass / hand / heart" from the Muses. I had to research what's special about tempered glass to decode the message.

  3. The reason I started writing poetry as my primary form of expression ironically are two poets I don't even read anymore: Bukowski and Ginsberg.

Bukowski was my first favorite poet and I even have his epitaph tattooed on my left arm but obviously his deeply misanthropic shit works a lot better for a young (teens, early 20s) male-identifying drunk than it does for a mid 30s nonbinary person who barely drinks anymore outside of vacation and who has a vastly changed worldview.

Ginsberg was also an important early influence but the older I grew the more problematic I found most of the primary Beats and couldn't justify the whole NAMBLA membership by Ginsberg.
