  1. Wolves, Dragons and Devil Whales: The Strange Animal World of  England

As such, records of specific pagan beliefs that Anglo-Saxons prescribed to were lost to an age that did not write anything down, but engaged in a rich tradition of storytelling through singing and poetry. As well as the society, the environment was also vastly different to the present day UK. By examining archaeozoological sources, we can find out how different the physical environment of Anglo Saxon England was to how we know England today........Continue reading.... 2. "Cycles of Light and Dark" was the first piece I stitched from one of my creative prompts. This one was so simple and so satisfying! If you want to read more about it, you can check out the blog post pnwmichelle.com/2025/11/19/cyc #slowstitching #handstitching #handembroidery #paganart

  3. "Wild Initiation": hand embroidery on thrifted green fabric (maybe cotton?) and a scrap of silk. Hand beaded fringe with brass leaves and amber from broken jewelry, and new green glass beads. He's hanging on one of my shrines. You can read more on the blog if you're curious about the story behind him. pnwmichelle.com/2025/11/26/wil #handembroidery #slowstitching #paganart #polytheistart (edited to add the link I forgot ... oops)

  4. A little later than expected, but worth the wait! Tina M Walker's beautiful, quirky gifts have arrived. Fairy houses and toadstools galore! Here are just a few of them :)

  5. It's less than two weeks until the Spring Equinox (Ostara), the date when night and day are of equal length. It's wonderful to see everything gearing up for the year: we're watching birds chase one another in courtship (and territorial disagreements!), green shoots beginning to appear on shrubs and trees, and early Spring flowers blooming!

So here are just a few of our favourite cards of the season :) Art by Samantha Symonds, Rachel Blackwell, Sam Cannon and Amanda Clark.

  6. Finished spirit doll for the winner of my blog giveaway a few weeks back. Hazelnut face, hawthorn body, hand stitched spirals on silk. She’s very small, maybe 5 inches tall, and was such a delight to work on. #spiritdoll #paganart

  7. It’s just two weeks until Imbolc (the traditional festival heralding the start of Spring). This beautiful design is ‘Hope Hare’ by Fiona Gypsy Bunting.

“Spring brought with it hope, carrying it across landscapes, tenderly touching hedgerows and hills, leaving fresh promises in unfurling buds and kisses of sunshine in its yellows”.

  8. Here is my newest abstract art piece done with ibisPaint inspired by the fact I learnt that spirals play a big role in Celtic art and culture #Pagan #paganart #abstractart

  9. I'm working on my art practice right now. I have shared this in a few other places, but I'll start by sharing some older art. This is my interpretation of Heru-ur, a.k.a. Haroeris or Horus the Elder, from several years ago.

  10. I have done 13 #FullMoonArt projects- a whole lunar year! It has been rewarding to look back on all my work, and spiritually fulfilling, because it ensures that I'm taking the time to do art regularly.
I welcome others to use this hashtag with me, show me your art!

Here's the guidelines I gave myself for this project:

    1. The art is started anytime after the New Moon, and completed within the 3 days of the Full Moon. It can be a large piece or a single-day project.
    2. Post a photo and tag it with the hashtag (make sure to CamelCase).
    3. Include alt text.
    4. Credit the pattern-maker, if applicable, preferably with a link.
