Can we just STOP ASSUMING that MOTHERHOOD is a desirable or relatable experience for EVERY woman?!
I'm kinda really tired of "take what you can use" when SPAWNING is still assumed to be universal.
If you can't even comprehend that intentionally child-free women exist, then I really can't take ANYTHING you say seriously.

Seeing something designed "by women for women" where every feature is more like "designed by mothers doing an unequal share of parenting for mothers doing an unequal share of parenting".
I really wish that 'woman' were not so often equated with 'mother'. There are women's issues beyond the sexism in heterosexual pairings...

Was going to post a press conference from NYC, but once more supposed progressives are using the word "families" as if it were a synonym for "people".
It would be nice if folks on the left weren't constantly adopting the fascist rhetorical obsession with families. People eat. People need groceries. Not just families.
It's not as if anyone who doesn't reproduce is wealthy. In fact, many choose not to have children because they cannot afford to do so.
The constant "family, family, family" of it all has allowed the right wing to drive the conversation for decades, letting anyone who is not from a healthy family of origin and who can't or chooses not to reproduce know that they are somehow a second class of people.
The same way "working" lets people who are unemployed or too disabled to work (esp when many workplaces are purposefully inaccessible) know that they are somehow not as valuable to society.
Do better.

When we #childfree hear about #anti-vax parents & crunchy parents feeding their kids #rawmilk, the whole bingo argument of "who will take care you when you're older" is laughable when our counter argument is "will your child live to adulthood" and if they do, "WILL they WANT to take care of you for putting their life at risk".
