  1. New YouTube video comes up Tuesday at 7am UK time. It's a simple dynamic bipedal robot with only 5 servos.

  2. Now have a fully standalone working #FujiNet prototype for #MSX! No cables running to another computer. Boots right up and goes into config. #3DPrinted #KiCad #Fusion360 #RaspberryPiPico #TRS80CoCo #RetroComputing #VintageComputing #Electronics

  6. 🤡 Ah, the Ploopy Bean: because what every computer truly needs is a 3D-printed, open-source pointing stick that screams "I'm unique and also slightly impractical." 🎉 With all the allure of a glorified toothpick and the precision of a drunken octopus, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it! 🙃

  11. For todays #FreeCADFriday and my #mayke I've made a little #bike accessory. I often end up lashing things on top of my rear rack (waterproofs mostly!) and they often obscure my light that used to live on my seatpost. I've whipped up a little #freecad doohickey and #3dprinted it in PETG. It can be loosened and rotated to the side or underneath depending on what I'm carrying. Pleased with it! #biketooter I shall publish the files somewhere soon!

  16. #3dprinted this as a gift for my son’s friend. That was a lot of fun. But I hope that this is my last #MMU print because some rewinder issues are very nasty. Got the model is here: printables.com/model/448926-ul

  17. Today's odd job is changing some outdoor lights, where the plastic has gone brittle and cracked. Nine years of sunlight (wear suncream kids!).

What's really frustrating is you can't just buy the plastic dome part, Philips doesn't sell it separately. All the other parts (the lamp, housing and grey aluminium cover) are all fine. So we've had to buy a couple of complete lamps just for that part. lighting.philips.de/consumer/p but it has mains voltage outside, so I want them to remain waterproof.

So my #AskFedi question is - is the white part something that could be #3Dprinted ? It's about 25cm in diameter and domed, relatively thin (2-3mm thickness) but obviously would have to be made out of some filament that is semi transparent and very UV stable. Does anyone have any ideas please?

  22. "Print a life-size Blue Angel sea slug" I was told. "Print a life-size Blue Angel sea slug" I have done. 5p for scale. Painting it is going to be a challenge; removing the supports will be a nightmare.

  23. That took quite a lot of battling but I got the new #FujiNet proto board to come up on CoCo! I jumpered the pins for now to make it so all the GPIOs are in the lower 32bit window to make it easier to start from the PicoROM code.
