  1. 9:55 PM and all's glowy.

I cheated here and charged up the digits with a high intensity flashlight. They glow a little just from the charge they get from the ceiling light -- enough to read the clock, but barely.

  2. Current workbench project for some late stage Savage Tides encounters. Only one day of #3dPrinted to go for the hind tentacles. Then on to putty to fill gaps and correct any printer failure. #miniatures

  3. 4) I also ordered a range of different Peltier plates to continue developing the chiller for the
    5) Now I am free of deadlines for projects for the year, I can get on with building my filament changer
    6) I really ought to finish building my RC off road robot chassis from earlier in the year (needed a higher torque motor which didn't fit the chassis I built for robotic series).
    7) Parts ordered for a better 5V 5A mobile power board design for Pi5

  4. I made last month's PrintKits project, a moon lamp. It has a COB LED strip and a bas-relief lunar surface. I made the surround metallic red with iridescent blue-green bolts just because.

The gap between the sections is really ugly in daylight, but when lit up, they disappear, thank goodness.

#Skyroot’s rocket stands about 22 meters tall, with the capability to place payloads of up to 350 kilograms into low-Earth orbit. This makes #Vikram1 somewhat larger than the #Electron launch vehicle developed by #RocketLab.

Skyroot's ambition involves larger liquid-fueled fully reusable ♻️ rockets, with a “daily cadence” from multiple countries

  6. Not Friday anymore, but my #FreeCADFriday was about getting some #QualityOfLife things together.

Got my rotating hanging bar up again after a small redesign of the bearing holders. Also designed and #3DPrinted an end stop for my nieces' hang bar since they're worried that it'll fall out of the bearing.

Haven't had my #PineTime on my arm for a few days since the strap broke. Printed a small loop in ASA and cut the zip flap off a discarded rain jacket to make myself a new one.

  7. while the acoustic #violin 🎻 works
it wasn't #family friendly with us only having a small house.

so #3DPrinted violin mk2 in a dual black and purple silk filament
(yea I know there's a string missing, it snapped and I'm too tired to replace it right now at 23:38)

  8. OK all my #electronics / #PCB fab #FediFrens 👋 I need [1] to get a custom #keypad designed & fabbed and I’m starting from a low low base of “sure I’ve put built plenty of electronics kits & learned a bit of electronics theory but mostly a long time ago & I haven’t designed anything myself”… 🙃

so what’s the best way to get started? 🤔

I found a couple of places that do custom #keyboards & have online key[board|pad] design tools, which seems about right. I don’t actually want to become an expert in custom PCB / #keyboard design, PCB fabbing, or managing Shenzhen supply chains – I just want to get this one thing made [2] and am happy [3] to exchange money for goods & services (within reason) to get it done

I’ve already looked at just using a gaming keypad to do the thing but I really want to integrate the keypad into the other thing to get it to where I want it to be…

OK, there’s no need to be coy I guess – I want to put a “real” keypad into my 1:1 #3Dprinted #Apollo #DSKY (WIP pic below)

what’s my optimal pathway to getting this to exist? I imagine that other DSKY nerds may want one once it exists, so the ability to turn it into a limited run after the initial prototypes are done would be a bonus

    pls #boost4reach 🙏

  9. I #3DPrinted a #violin like you do) and the layer lines were stupidly bad and my fix just made them worse

So I worked with the fail and applied "cell shader" style to it.

I can't play the violin 🤣 but seems like time to learn.

  10. Finished my #macramé #dreamcatcher

I used a #3dprinted ring so I had to cover it completely with cord, which brought on a few challenges with hiding string ends. I also cut a few of the cords a bit too short so I had to get a little creative with the finishing knots.

The design is based on this YouTube video - youtu.be/tsx2F6vkH8g
