These lovely illustrations are from around 2018 or so.
Anubis looks great. Ra has what could be seen as a bull's tail, which the Kings and Pharoah's often wore as a symbol of power.
Set, Sekhmet, and Bast also look great.
The leg hair on the male deities is rather hilarious to me for some reason. It is not something I've seen very often in fan art of these entities.

I stumbled across ketrin1607's webcomic project "Fiasco" this morning while deep searching Kemet fan art.
Very interesting project and I very much like many of her interpretations for the Kemet deities, especially Set, Thoth, and Anubis.
They are distilled down into primitive shapes that would allow for quick illustration and animation.

I very much love the texture. I know we use the word "texture" for digital work, but it really is a misnomer when there is no actual texture from paints or substrate.

Jesus didn't go to war against Rome.
He could've. The #Books say he was tempted by Sat-an in desert. I believe it is no coincidence that Set archetype in #Kemet also represented a desert.
I believe Jesus had martial knowledge, which he resisted and instead used his learned wisdom to win the conflict.
Instead of #Rome or Judah, Jesus preached a Kingdom of God, a peace of mind. Instead of fear of magic, he wished people saw the good he did.
I believe many saw good. War confused record.

Katherine Makoyana is another artist whose galleries have caused me to waste much time.
This piece with Anubis weighing the human heart against the feather of Maat, while Thoth records the result is pretty fine.
I especially live the incorporation of Maat herself as the "scales". A very interesting take on the immediate afterlife ritual.
These truly are fantastic interpretations.

CW: Snake talk
I was having trouble sleeping last night. It happens a lot these days.
An intuition told me to picture the the undulating, writhing coils of the Kemetic Uraeus cobra and meditate on them. It was difficult at times to keep focused but then my consciousness began to get misty and.... next thing I know I'm awake again after a couple hours of refreshing sleep. I tried the technique again and as before it was hard to remain focused- my mind kept wandering to other topics but I persevered and again fell unconscious. I awoke again sometime later and made another attempt but it was getting light out and I lost concentration. Good morning! Praise #Hathor! -

I've been reading a book I got for my birthday about Zosimos the Egyptian alchemist and the connections to my own spiritual journey are blowing me away! Especially in relation to the hermeneutics I've been submerging myself in meditatively. The idea that an Egyptian temple has its own grammar and creates a "world" within a world is profound. It opens up an entire new way to experience the architecture, hieroglyphs and iconography. It's thrilling!
