9/11 25 Years Ago Today
I still remember it like it was yesterday. The terrible terrorist attack on our country. All those innocent lives lost. Every year since I watch each and every program about it out of respect for those that lost their lives on that horrible day 25 years ago. I’ll never understand the amount of evil it took or wrap my mind around all the horror witnessed that day. So today of all days, please take the time to remember and never forget what happened to us on that terrible day. There are several stair climbing charity events across the valley and we have the “healing field” of flags representing each person who lost their life on that day at one of our bigger local parks to go walk through with a ceremony this morning and a candlelight vigil tonight. Yesterday I got a call from my doctor’s office. My lab work came back that I’m anemic and need to start taking iron. I’m going back in for an appointment on Monday morning to discuss the results of my x-rays. That will be interesting. I’ve still got my fingers crossed he’ll give me an injection of some kind to hold me over to at least make it through the Quensenara next month. The one thing I don’t want to hear is that I need a new hip or hips. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. Last night my daughter and son-in-law picked me up to go see the play at the high school. I had a proud Nana moment seeing both of my granddaughter’s names in the program. My oldest granddaughter had one of the bigger roles in the play and was absolutely perfect with her lines. My younger granddaughter was behind the scenes moving the set around in between scenes. My other daughter, son-in-law and one of my grandsons also met us there for the show. It was a cute play and well put together. Of course the drama teacher is still the same one my daughter had when she was in high school. He knows us and can’t believe he is teaching her kids now. I took my ½ gram of Rick Simpson Oil at 4 pm and by the time we got to the play before 7 pm I was pretty high and didn’t give all the walking we had to do a second thought. The play was not in the auditorium and instead was in the drama room with hard plastic seats. By the time I got home close to 9 pm I took a 50 mg cube of Brix THC gummy to ease the ache that was starting in my hip from those hard seats. I stretched and went to bed. This morning I plan on making the meatballs I wanted to make yesterday. My wonderful husband put the hamburger and sausage in the freezer for some reason. So when I went to make them yesterday and discovered what he did I was beyond pissed. He told me he thought I wasn’t interested in making them. WTF? Please make it make sense! Some of the things he does freaks me out. His memory isn’t where it used to be that is for sure. Today my sciatic or hip, whichever it is, is aching. I imagine sitting on that hard plastic chair for two hours last night is the reason. We’ve also got plenty of moisture in the air so that can’t be helping much either. This afternoon I’m picking up my grandson after school. Once I pick him up we are going over to the high school to pick up both of my granddaughters and take them home first. Otherwise they would be standing outside until my daughter gets off of work, my son-in-law has to work later today so I told her I’d pick them up. I’ll be out and about and it is not out of my way since they live so close to me. Plus, if you know me, I never turn down the chance to spend time with my grandchildren, even for a short car ride. I haven’t decided if I want to make a stop at the dispensary today, I’ve still got distillate to take for the next couple of nights or the Brix THC gummies. Maybe I’ll check to see if anyone has RSO on sale. I’ll keep you posted. As for the rest of the day I plan on taking it easy with this ache, hoping it stretches out as the day goes on.
