Scientists have discovered a previously unknown #bacterium aboard #China's Tiangong space station. @vwbusguy @almalinux well, so unfortunately this is something I have going on #OracleCloudInfrastructure #OCI and the OS image selection is pretty limited for their instances. #Ubuntu #CentOS #OracleLinux however, I had forgotten about Cockpit so will check out if that control panel would be an option on an Ubuntu install with #OpenLiteSpeed . I'm sort of partial to OLS and it's speed and WordPress support.

Status update 2 of 2: The mini #Debian file server is currently sprawled out all over my desk. I have one of the drives connected and running data recovery. We’ll see how things go. When I attempt to attach one of the drives to my main computer I got “unknown file system” errors.
#MDADM would not work for me to reset up the drives. Reinstalling Debian didn’t work. I tried #ARMbian and #Ubuntu to no avail.
Maybe when I made tweaks to #Cockpit I scrambled the drives? -

This is an awesome (kind of over-produced, but 🤷♂️ ) #aviation #avgeek #Connie #Sunnfun video. #CRM is good, twice the captain/PF uses his authority to over-ride the cockpit voices - as he should. One quibble - they never explain what the issue was. But I say again, an awesome video about a truly awesome aircraft! Enjoy

Today I finally got to play some #ProjectWingman in #VirtualReality . I may now be completely spoiled when going back to playing flight sims on a desktop haha.
Just simply being able to look around freely in your cockpit changes how these play so much. When tracking planes flying right over your head, your hands just kinda know what to do and will fly towards where you look, it's crazy :cat_sip:.
Also, I am already liking PW a lot more than AC7.

I got back to playing #FlightOfNova lately, because it's dark and calm and meticulous. A great game to play in the winter. Dawdling around in the settings I noticed it had #headtracking support for looking around the cockpit. I quickly considered getting one of those silly devices, before I remembered that #Opentrack supports any old webcam. *sounds of rummaging around* So that works great. Just use "neuralnet tracker" as input in Opentrack.

rahmen ist noch nicht mal in der post...aber ich freu' mich jetzt schon so sehr auf den aufbau, dass ich mal paar teile zusammensuche/cockpit zusammendengel. hab' mal wieder bock auf dura ace, aber nicht auf dura ace stis. deswegen rahmenschalthebel 8fach und der plan mit einer xtr 11-32er kassette etwas (extrem) bergtaugliches aufzubauen. mit campa omega delta v profil in 28/32 sollte das rad mit slx rahmen dann auch schön leicht werden. #fahrradwerkstatt #rennrad #basso #duraace #columbus

Taking a step back before moving forward.
The glider's instrument panel and canopy pivot upward and are propped open with a flat piece of carbon fiber.
I use the longest 'plank' as possible so that it's easier for me to enter and exit the cockpit, but that plank is now so long that when it folds down (when the instrument panel is lowered)...that it interferes with the thick loop of tubes, wires, and cables that are bundled with spiral wrap.
I can cut a wide U-notch in the plank to accommodate the cable bundle, but first I have to add more stop-blocks that will engage the edges of the wide plank because I'm cutting away the central section.
First photo is shows the setup that allows interference with the cable bundle.
Second photo shows my Rube Goldberg solution.

Here I am, beating my head against a wall trying to figure out why #Samba is refusing to cooperate on this #Fedora #Server install. Even using tools like #Cockpit to tell the share to set the #Selinux contexts for Samba, I still can’t get the shares working.
Just like my #RHCE (RHEL 4/5) bootcamp instructor noted, just disable Selinux.
And with Selinux disabled, all my troubles melt away.
This is bad practice. But even when the tools to make it easy don’t work, what else is there?
