137 - Wolverine vs. Sabretooth
New category: Wolverine's Greatest Battles!
Recognizing what all the kids really want in 1994, this set just goes all-in on Wolverine for one of its categories.

136 - Thunderbird
Can't do a collection of inactive X-Men without arguably the most famous one of all.
Somewhere along the way, I misplaced this card, so these images are from @tradingcarddb.

Which Fleer Ultra X-Men Series 1 New Mutants card is the best?
Art from Bill Sienkiewicz, Bo Hampton & Joe Phillips.

135 - Mastermind
One of the better trading card/static image depictions of Mastermind's powers.
The power description is reaching a bit; he technically doesn't go into people's minds - he needed help to do that w/Phoenix

It's the 90s by way of Fleer Ultra X-Men Series 1!

039 - Tyler
More fun w/Cable's vaguely-detailed backstory, this card was probably in development around the time of Cable #6-8, when we knew the character was back but before he dubbed himself Genesis and stole Wolverine's nose.
-
027 - Sunspot
Capturing Sunspot's power glow-up era. Something about the domino mask on his "dark solar" face works really well, despite being functionally ridiculous.

023 - Legacy
Pretty clearly the unqualified success of this "new character w/a trading card" gimmick, going on to hold down multiple volumes of a solo series.
"Legacy" is still a pretty weak name, though.

060 - Mystique
Back in the day, this cardback was the first time I'd seen OG Mystique. I remember being fascinated by it, the minor ways the character's look was similar to and different from what I was used to.
-
039 - Magneto
One of my favorite cards in this set. An effective mix of resolute, ominous, and haggard.
-
016 - Archangel
Curiously, neither his first appearance as Angel nor Archangel is cited on the cardback; rather it's randomly the 5th issue of X-Men.
-
011 - Silver Surfer
Julie Bell - who, with her husband Boris Vallejo, would later paint all the cards in the last Marvel Masterpieces set of the 90s - with an evocative Silver Surfer.

Card 110: Archangel
His wings get clipped (high oh!) by the nine panel grid, but I do like how his body extends past the bottom border. In general,
Thibert does a good job making these figures feel bigger on the card.
