Linux front-end for Amiga games: First beta version of FloppyCase
As the developer explains, "Getting classic Amiga games to work on Linux can be a complicated and techincally advanced process involving installing and configuring several libraries." With FloppyCase, this tedious work has already been done: once the application has been installed, all you need to do is add your games and purchased Amiga ROMs and you’re ready to go.

Der Pocket Launcher von José Manera, dem Autor des Macumba-Editors, dient ähnlich wie iGame dem Starten von WHDLoad-Spielen, welche neben dem Listeneintrag auch anhand ihres Titelbildes ausgewählt werden. Das Besondere: Es werden keine externen Bibliotheken, kein MUI, keine Datatypes oder andere Abhängigkeiten benötigt. Der Pocket Launcher läuft bereits auf einem Amiga 500, vorausgesetzt wird lediglich AmigaOS 2.x.

Pocket Launcher by José Manera, the author of the MacumbaEditor, works similarly to iGame to launch WHDLoad games, which can be selected not only by their list entry but also by their cover art. What makes it special: It requires no external libraries, no MUI, no datatypes or any other dependencies. Pocket Launcher runs already on an Amiga 500 - the only requirement is AmigaOS 2.x.

Just updated AmigaOS 3.2 to the latest WHDLoad v20.0 ... and tested it briefly with the all time classic "Beneath a Steel Sky". Looks like everything's still working perfectly! I'm running this on WinUAE 6.0.3. 😃

Well this is a fun discovery! Someone called Stephen wrote a very nice #Gemini / #Gopher / etc client for #Amiga OS.
I discovered this installed on the excellent #caffieneOS pre-configured system which I have started using instead of #Amikit for the speed and the pre-installed #WHDLoad games and demos.
Neat Stuff!
