A "new" 40MHz 68030/882 accelerator with 8MB 32-bit FAST RAM is slotted in and wired with a switch, there on the front. Base 68000 system has 8MB 16-bit FAST RAM, a respectable fallback for cycle-exact OCS/ECS demos.

All issues resolved. The 40MHz 68030 accelerator is installed and working in the A2000.
Here's a victory video of Black Lotus' 2019 OCS/ECS Amiga scenedemo 'Eon'. I am unsure if anyone will get the irony of this video, but the spark of that irony is what motivated this CPU upgrade from the Commodore 68020 board I was running before.

Happily, was able to find eight 30-pin 70ns FPM 1MB SIMMs, so I can populate the 16-bit Zorro II RAM+SCSI card to 8MB in this Amiga 2000 upgrade.

Cracked open the Amiga 2000 and am moving from a 14MHz 68020 to a 40MHz 68030, and increasing FAST RAM in both 16-bit Zorro II space and 32-bit extended space.
The "new" accelerator is a GVP G-Force 030 (Impact A2000-030 Combo Series II) with 8MB 32-bit FAST RAM and 68882 FPU.
This board has a jumper allowing it to be fully disabled, which I will bring out to a toggle switch (for cycle-exact 68000 scenedemos).

Currently working on a "blind tracker" mode for the Drumlogue, so besides playback of #protracker and #octamed, it can also edit the file directly on the device. The issue is; there is no front panel access for feedback. I can only use parameters to change mode, channels, etc. but even row is an issue in a way if I step... as the parameter is one-way. Suggestions are welcome

After lengthy and somewhat casual searching, I've found and purchased (eBay) an accelerator with (critically) a hardware disable for my Amiga 2000, a GVP G-Force 030 with 40MHz 68030/882.
It just occurred to me that, oddly, this will be the first 68030 that I've ever had in the house.
68000, 68010, 68020, 68040, 68060 - yes, but never a 68030.
(Currently using an A2620 14MHz 68020/882/851 in the CPU slot.)

I recently came to understand I have one of the last Amiga 2000s to roll off the assembly line.
- Revision 6.4 motherboard
- Agnus: 318069-17 8375 (NTSC) from Sept '92
- Denise: 390433-02 8373R4PD from Sept '92
- Paula: 252127-02 8364R7PD from Sept '92I bought it as part of a lot of 35 or so new-in-box A2000s I found on usenet back in the year 2000. The shipping took much longer than expected, so the seller threw in an ASDG Dual Serial board as a bonus for me.

Hyperion Entertainment BV y Amiga Corporation han anunciado la firma de un nuevo acuerdo que pone fin a las disputas legales que ambas compañías mantenían abiertas desde hace años. El pacto, alcanzado tras varios meses de intensas negociaciones, cierra definitivamente los procedimientos judiciales en curso y abre una nueva etapa para el desarrollo del ecosistema Amiga.
La noticia supone un importante cambio de rumbo para una comunidad que, durante décadas, ha seguido con preocupación los enfrentamientos legales relacionados con la propiedad intelectual, los derechos de explotación y el futuro de AmigaOS. Los litigios entre ambas entidades habían generado una considerable incertidumbre en torno al desarrollo del sistema operativo y al papel que cada compañía desempeñaría en los próximos años.
Timothy De Groote, director de Hyperion Entertainment BV, ha explicado que uno de los principales objetivos de la empresa desde el inicio de su actual dirección ha sido poner fin a unos conflictos que, según sus palabras, han consumido demasiados recursos y energía, dificultando el avance de AmigaOS.
«Desde el principio de nuestra gestión hemos tenido un objetivo claro: poner fin a las demandas que, durante demasiado tiempo, han drenado energía y recursos del desarrollo de AmigaOS», afirmó De Groote. El directivo añadió que la compañía espera ahora completar el desarrollo de AmigaOS 3.3 y AmigaOS 4.2, con la intención de devolver el protagonismo a los usuarios y al sistema operativo.
Aunque no se han dado a conocer los detalles concretos del acuerdo alcanzado entre Hyperion Entertainment y Amiga Corporation, ambas partes han confirmado que todas las disputas legales existentes han quedado resueltas. La resolución de estos conflictos podría facilitar una mayor estabilidad para los desarrolladores y para la comunidad de usuarios, que lleva años esperando avances significativos en las distintas ramas del sistema operativo.
Con el nuevo escenario legal despejado, Hyperion ha manifestado su intención de centrar todos sus esfuerzos en la evolución de AmigaOS 3.3 y AmigaOS 4.2, dos versiones especialmente esperadas por los aficionados a la plataforma clásica de Commodore.
