Battle of Aldebaran AGA HD
Según hemos podido leer en Amiga France, Fliegeralarm Games ha publicado la demo de Battle of Aldebaran AGA HD, un juego de combate espacial en primera persona desarrollado para Amiga AGA.
El jugador controla un platillo Nordic desde el interior de la cabina, sin cámaras exteriores ni mapas. Toda la información necesaria se muestra en el panel de instrumentos: escudos, casco, combustible, acelerador, munición y radar.
Los Anunnaki atacan en oleadas y con diferentes comportamientos. El jugador dispone de cañón y cohetes, puede alternar entre ambas armas y cuenta con un sistema de puntería que indica dónde disparar para alcanzar al enemigo. Los escudos se regeneran al alejarse del combate, pero los daños del casco son permanentes. También será necesario localizar suministros de combustible durante las partidas.
Gráficamente, utiliza un cockpit AGA de 320 × 256 píxeles y 256 colores. Las naves enemigas proceden de modelos 3D prerenderizados desde 50 ángulos diferentes para conseguir animaciones más fluidas durante sus maniobras.
La demo incluye introducción animada, secuencia inicial, banda sonora, tabla de puntuaciones y diferentes opciones gráficas para adaptar el rendimiento. El control puede realizarse mediante teclado o ratón, con posibilidad de reasignar las teclas.
Battle of Aldebaran AGA HD requiere como mínimo un Amiga AGA, 68020 o superior, 2 MB de Chip RAM, 2 MB de Fast RAM, Kickstart 3.0 o posterior, pantalla PAL y espacio disponible en disco duro. No es compatible con equipos OCS/ECS ni con CD32.
El proyecto también destaca por su utilización de inteligencia artificial: el desarrollador indica que ha empleado siete sistemas de IA en diferentes apartados, incluyendo código, gráficos, sonido y textos.
La demo está disponible gratuitamente en itch.io.
