Menu patch: MagicMenu 3.0
Twenty-four years after the last update, AmiKit publisher Jan Zahurancik has released an update for MagicMenu. All settings that determine the appearance of a menu can now be configured separately for pull-down and pop-up menus. In addition, the settings editor has been completely rewritten in MUI.

24 Jahre nach dem letzten Update stellt AmiKit-Herausgeber Jan Zahurancik ein Update für MagicMenu bereit. Sämtliche Einstellungen, die das Aussehen eines Menüs bestimmen, können nun getrennt für Pulldown- und Popup-Menüs festgelegt werden. Außerdem wurde der Einstellungseditor vollständig in MUI neu geschrieben.

Second speaker re-foaming went quicker than the first. First listening tests were:
Nik Bartsch: Modul 29-14
Pink Floyd: High Hopes
Faithless: Reverence
The speakers sound quite good - great for free. Right now they’re on a little lepai class D amp I had handy. Maybe this will inspire me to fix an old Dynaco I picked up decades ago.
The spiders are pretty rigid making it relatively easy to set the cones in place with a reasonable degree of confidence. Unfortunately the second one is set back maybe 0.5mm back from the other, and I think its bass response is suffering a tiny bit due to it (_very_ subjectively for now).
All in all, I’m very happy with how they turned out, and happy to have learned a new repair skill.

On the latest alpha update on the #Amiga OCS Core for the #Mega65 it can now use the RTC for the correct time.
Though the version of #Workbench 1.3 I used hasn't been patched for the Y2K :D

Crafting a bow.
I suspect that that #spokeshave is at least 70 years old, possibly more. My son has restored the edge on the blade - it slices wood like butter.

Die dürften alle um 1989 erschienen sein. Deutsche Releases, jedoch großteils auf Englisch, wie damals noch üblich.

Ich muss echt sagen, im Vergleich zur sinnlos komplizierten Amiga Workbench 3.x ist mir die Workbench 1.3 echt viel lieber. Die ist deutlich intuitiver zu bedienen und das sage ich als alter IT'ler. 😎
Hätte mein alter A1200 doch besser diese hier gehabt! Dann wäre ich vielleicht nicht zu Windows 3.1 gewechselt. Der blaue Hintergrund war auch viel attraktiver! Ja, ich weiß, das hätte ich umstellen können! Ja, was soll's? Ich war 11 oder so.

Like the first version I made of this sequence, the final video loops, but this time I used a portal material shader to achieve that, so the end just has a flat plane in workbench. 😅

Reparing the Fabula. The speaker and battery cables were broken at the soldering point. No idea why. Also, it isn't the first time it happens. They are common Dupont cables cut and soldered (because I need the connector on the other end). They shouldn't be subject to mechanic stress, it seems more like a chimical/oxidation problem... but I have no clue at all...
