I've been using LibreELEC on my Raspberry Pi 5 for a few months now, it's an excellent distribution if you're looking to create your own Kodi box with minimal effort. I use it in our family room on our big screen TV to watch movies and listen to music, all shared from my Linux server via NFS!

I have Raspberry Pi 3b that was working just fine until yesterday when the UPS battery failed

It used to network boot and mount a NFS filesystem, but now the network interface is coming up, but it's never sending the initial DHCP request to get the tftp boot options.

And then I bought another 3B+ from CEX, only to get home and find it didn't have an SD port (it just wasn't there...) and so had to go back and return it. Have now ordered another online...

Hmmm… zweimal Stromausfall für jeweils ca. 90 Sekunden in der Wedemark vorhin. Nach Berichten aus der Gegend (freiwillige Feuerwehr) scheint eine Trafostation zu rauchen.

Jedenfalls muss ich jetzt den pihole aus einem älteren raspi erstmal reparieren, weil's da irgendwas zerlegt hat…

Wie hier schon kurz angeteasert, habe ich mir mal degoog auf den heimischen Raspberry Pi gedengelt.

Die Installation gestaltete sich, dank Docker Compose, wieder absolut easy peasy:

Für die degoog-Suche habe ich alle verfügbaren Suchmaschinen ausgewählt. Angezapft werden demnach Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Startpage und Co. Die Suchergebnisse können sich IMHO sehen lassen und alles ohne Tracking. Hamma! (Mal schauen, wie lange das alles so funktioniert …)

Als Safari Nutzer kann ich degoog leider nicht als Standard-Suche definieren. Deshalb habe ich als kleinen Umweg die QueryHop – Search Redirector-Extension installiert. Wenn ich jetzt eine Suche direkt in der Adressleiste starte, dann wird das Ganze an meine degoog-Installation umgeleitet. Auch das funktioniert absolut knorke.

degoog und QueryHop arbeiten voll gut zusammen. Happy searching jewünscht!

Hab an meinem Pi-hole gebastelt. Das lag hier eine Weile so offen rum, zwar angeschlossen, aber hässlich.

Jetzt hab ich's endlich fertig gebaut. Genug produktiv gewesen für heute, finde ich.

Mein SD-Reader hat beschlossen, in den Ruhestand zu gehen. Man könnte jetzt natürlich einen neuen kaufen.

Oder man installiert kurzerhand @octoprint samt Webcam auf einem alten Raspberry Pi 3 und macht aus einem Defekt ein Upgrade.

Manchmal ist Reparieren eben nur der Umweg zur besseren Lösung. Die Hitzewelle scheint auch bei Hardware kreative Gedanken zu fördern.

J'étais vraiment bien emmerdé d'avoir ma machine perso principale (Eh oui c'est un #RaspberryPi 5 et alors, kestuvafer ?) sur une distro plus maintenue 😭 et je me disais que ça allait être une galère sans nom pour passer à autre chose, mais le flip #Manjaro ➡️ #ArchLinux went well 🥳

J'ai un peu fait un truc de guedin : Comme @manjaro.bsky.social #Linux #ARM n'est plus maintenu depuis un an 😭 et que j'ai besoin de mises-à-jour de logiciels, j'ai décidé de convertir “en place” le #RaspberryPi 5 sur lequel j'écris ces lignes à #ArchLinux ARM (ALARM).
Eh bien, ça se fait 😄

Grosso modo, il suffit de modifier /etc/pacman.conf et /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist pour pointer vers les repos ArchLinux ARM, et puis un bon coup de “pacman -Syyu” et voilà 😄
Il va râler que certains packages Manjaro causent des incompatibilités, les supprimer et recommencer jusqu'à ce que ça passe.
