Честный рассказ команды Modus , которая только что завела Storybook поверх большой легаси-базы: зачем стартуем, чего ждём и как через полгода проверим, окупился ли он. Представьте, что разработчику нужно поправить одну кнопку — отступ или состояние наведения. Работы на минуту, но для этого нужно поднять всё приложение, залогиниться и прокликать половину интерфейса до нужного экрана. И так — каждый раз. К третьему заходу проще остановиться на «вроде норм», чем повторять этот цикл ради мелочи. Нам это надоело и мы решили попробовать Storybook. А заодно — поставить над собой небольшой эксперимент. Если вы сейчас решаете, тащить ли Storybook в уже живой проект, и хотите увидеть честный старт, а не сухой результат — этот материал для вас.

@david_chisnall Plenty of good stuff at the time. #MUI for #AmigaOS had resizable-everything, configurable looks and fonts on a per-application basis and a pretty neat programming system for being plain C, all in 1993. OK-ish on the basic 7MHz M68k and snappy on a 68030. I've been hating on pixel-based layouts ever since.

I'm having to work with Material UI and I really despise how inconsistent it is with its provided capacity to override simple things like classnames of slots.
One component allows me to add a classname to some of its slots here and there, the other one doesn't at all. One wants me to use `slotProps`, the other one wants me to use `inputProps`.
It shouldn't be that hard to add a class to a label.

Его любят за интерактивную документацию, возможность визуального контроля и изолированной разработки. Но замечали ли вы, сколько действий приходится делать, чтобы взять компонент из Storybook и вставить его в реальный проект? Наверняка вы сталкивались с ситуацией: нашли компонент в Storybook, затем переключились обратно в IDE, скопировали код, вставили, адаптировали, проверили, и повторили снова. Кажется, многовато действий для простой вставки компонента, правда? Постоянные переключения между браузером и IDE, ручной копипаст и отсутствие связи с уже написанным кодом делают этот процесс неудобным и медленным. Storybook Studio: всё в одном месте...
