Moving my emulation setup into #Romm ... currently doing the first scan.

Tried launching an #amiga title in the browser (one of the appeals of Romm) and it fails after decompressing the LHA for a #whdload format game. Hopefully it's a trivial debug, but it was not a confidence instilling beginning.

RomM 5.0 just dropped with a full redesign, controller support, cross-device save sync, and passes 10K GitHub stars. I've been using it on my home server, the new sync engine ties my Android and Steam Deck saves together. Install it with docker, point it at your roms dir and you get a web-based web frontend with your roms categorised and scraped.

It'll use the Libretro-based EmulatorJS so you can play many of them right in the browser, or you can use one of the ROMM android clients to download them and play on your phone.

Updated this evening to RomM 4.0.0. While I'm at it, also switched to the recommended metadata setup (and got rid of IGDB, seeya Amazon) and setup Retro Achievements.

Romm has released v4.0.0 which looks like an absolutely massive update. They've now got hash matching available, and new options for metadata and image providers if you want to avoid pulling this from Amazon. Looks very cool!

Got RomM up and running. Haven't populated any content into it yet, but looking very cool!

I had a few slight issues due to enableServiceLinks in Kubernetes breaking the bind address, but was able to fix that up. Submitted a PR to the docs repo to document the issue and fix for anyone else facing the issue in future.
