It appears as though an LLM has been unleashed upon some of the Libretro repositories.
I first noticed this on libretro/tyrquake yesterday, but RetroArch itself also had a flurry of commits. Perhaps most have been simmering elsewhere, but at least a subset looks automated.
Regardless of anyone's opinion on AI coding, this number of changes and rate of commits affect trust. I can't see how these could have been properly reviewed by a human.

How do I start playing games accessibly with RetroArch?
I set it up a few days ago but, it looks like you have to figure out how to navigate games without speech and such.
Anyone know which games are playable this way?
And also, where do I even get games to play with on this thing?

I've just installed RetroArch and enabled its accessibility on one of my macs, as I've been wanting to play games with this thing for a while.
Anyone have some recommendations for some accessible games and cores on it?
I haven't set up any of its AI stuff, as it seems a bit complicated to me, so I'm only using standard accessibility in there.

Looking for some quick advice from Nintendo Switch Modding folks:
I have a hand-me-down early-run unpatched Switch, and I have a Switch 2 so this isn't my daily driver, it's just to mess around with. All I really want to do is try getting RetroArch on it. Should I set up a new Switch account for it to keep it separated from my main account (which I would prefer not to get suspended), or should it be safe to link it to my main account?

A small win for me tonight. I was able to convert my sister's decade-old #Haswell #Dell "gaming PC" from potential #ewaste into a box for playing #retrogame #emulators and #movies through the magic of #LinuxMint and #RetroArch. I had to swap out its broken RX 560 for a GT 1030 I had lying around but that was sufficient to play #tetris, #mariokart, and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine with my spouse. Hopefully with a little tweaking I can get #steam running so we can play Lego Star Wars together.

My kids are tech-privileged. They're playing Super Mario 64 on the steamdeck via #RetroArch, and wanted to play Kirby. While they played, I SSHed onto the Steamdeck, and #GitAnnex get'ed the Kirby ROM from my fileserver. #techdad

I want to make it so that pressing one of the extra shoulder buttons alt-tabs into another open game launcher. Currently, I've got Heroic, #RetroArch, and Steam going.
I could add Lutris into the mix but I don't care much for its interface.

Playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney NDS through Retroarch, been stuck on fingerprint minigames that I can't figure out how to "blow" but fortunately found the fix:
1. Open "Quick Menu" > "Core Options" > "Audio"
2. Set "Microphone Input Mode" to "Blow"
3. Set "Microphone Button Mode' to "Always"And you're done!

As an aside, LMDE (Debian) works just fine for me for #gaming. #RetroArch runs great, there are no issues with Feral #Gamemode or #SELinux issues (unlike my most recent tests with Fedora or openSUSE), I use #flatpaks so my gaming applications come with their own updated mesa and other drivers, and if I need a newer kernel I could always hit up #backports. And nvidia sucks so I wouldn't bother with them anyway.
If I really needed to I could always run #testing or #unstable.

Couldn't get #Amerzone (1999, not the remaster) working with #Proton. Tried everything and still a buggy experience.
So I "found" the original game installer (I paid for the game on GOG, so I feel this is okay) and installed it in #Windows98, via #DOSBox pure, via #RetroArch. There are 4 cds which the game requires to be present at different times (the first obviously to run the game) so it was just a matter of making an .m3u file for RA to load, pointing at the .cue files.
Works very well!

Not that I am much better now but I had no idea what I was doing at that time but all I knew is I wanted a way to update #libretro cores in #RetroArch from a single command. So glad they just implemented taht feature into RetroArch menus.

Me estoy montando un hdd externo con retrobat para windows y me he configurado el retroarch que viene dentro permitiendo hacer streaming y algunas cosas más y me he dado cuenta cada vez que abro el retrobat que me modifica la configuración de retroarch, he buscado en los ficheros de configuración del propio retrobat y no encuentro el punto en el que decide modificar la configuración del retroacrh.
¿Alguien sabe donde sucede esto?
