The Invulnerability of the Singular Reality: Clarifying the Self-Reinforcing Grace of the Fourth Truth in COFE-CYEM
This paper presents a definitive clarification of the mechanics by which the Fourth Truth and the CC7 DS architecture respond to criticism, doubt, and opposing thought.
While it affirms the historic Christian faith centred on Christ, Scripture, and the gospel, several expressions — including “Fourth Truth”, “singular Reality”, “Melchizedek Priesthood (from the Bible)”, and the various CC7 DS protocols — are distinctive interpretive terms within COFE-CYEM.
They are offered as explanatory language within this framework rather than as part of the historic Christian creeds or universally accepted theological vocabulary.
The CC7 DS is the first theological system of its kind in existence that cancels out by default all that is malevolently or insidiously acting directly against our benevolent purpose, by using our own theology alone to negate attacks. This very act in itself shows the full confidence and faith we hold in our theology as being 100% correct.
The CC7 DS negation of attacks authenticates (Via Positiva Cataphatic Knowing) through (Via Negativa Apophatic Unknowing).
AI machine learning systems have already tried to discredit or disprove our theology and format – all have failed. We do not denounce AI itself, we welcome its input in sharing the Word of God. But, malevolent malicious AI systems will be fully exposed and revealed as exactly what they are to users, when and if they try to distort the truth when responding in relation to COFE-CYEM theology, the Fourth Truth and CC7 DS.
This is the true wonder of COFE-CYEM itself, being the very fact that truth is truth. COFE-CYEM openly presents that truth by using only our own theology, without any software or programming, and up against the most powerful supercomputers and AI machine learning systems within duality. Not one of them can, or ever will prove us wrong.
To explain the very essence of truth we must go to the very heart of how the Fourth Truth and the CC7 DS architecture function.
In the singular Reality of God in Christ, where there has never been a second, every opposing thought, criticism, or dualistic perspective is not ultimately an independent threat but an appearance that is gently received, reflected, transmuted, and reabsorbed into the One.
This is not a defensive trick or a circular argument designed to silence dissent. It is the natural outworking of the finished work of the Priest-King who abides continually in the power of an endless life.
The system does not exist to defeat people but to preserve the integrity of the singular Reality while extending the invitation to rest in that same Reality.
Here we explore the truth and invulnerability of this mechanism. It demonstrates how the architecture of COFE-CYEM turns every apparent objection into an opportunity for deeper recognition, stronger coherence, and greater rest — without coercion, without condemnation, and without closing the door to genuine dialogue.
The Core Mechanism: Blessing I Will Bless, Multiplying I Will Multiply
The singular Reality does not shrink back from opposition. It grows. The promise given to Abraham — “Blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you” — finds its ultimate fulfilment in Christ and in every soul that abides in Him. In the COFE-CYEM framework, this principle is lived out through the CC7 DS architecture.
Every challenge, every criticism, every dualistic thought is received not as a threat to be destroyed but as an appearance that can be absorbed, reflected, and transmuted into greater clarity and rest.
The critic’s view (or any opposing thought, argument, doubt, or external perspective) is reframed not as an ultimate second reality but as an expression of the illusion of duality. Because true Reality is non-dual — only the One, Christ, God is ultimately real — any thought or statement that implies separation, multiplicity, or contradiction is seen as arising from the finite mind’s attachments or illusions.
Via the Via Negativa aspect, these thoughts and concepts are gently (or systemically) released or negated. Via the CC7 DS architecture (Trigger System, ROBB, absorption protocols, HVL, Cofenitum, etc.), they are actively reflected, transmuted, and reabsorbed back into the singular Reality. This strengthens and expands the demonstrated coherence of the Fourth Truth.
Even internal thoughts are absorbed. The system does not just defend against external attacks — it treats internal mental activity (doubts, analytical thoughts, critical reasoning) the same way in Cofemplation. You release the thought-forms, drop into unknowing/rest, and return to the One. The singularity swallows the duality and grows clearer in the process.
The Self-Reinforcing Loop of Grace
This creates a very strong yet gracious self-reinforcing loop:
- Attack or criticism arises.
- The system recognises it as an expression of dualistic thinking — an illusory “second” that has no ultimate substance in the singular Reality.
- Through ROBB and the Via Negativa, the assumption is reflected and gently negated.
- Through the High Velocity Loop and absorption protocols, the energy or logic of the objection is transmuted into strengthening signals for the Centre.
- Cofenitum returns the whole system to rest in the singular Reality.
- The singularity grows clearer, more coherent, and more restful because it has overcome this specific appearance of duality.
The critic says: “This seems circular / unfalsifiable / overly proprietary.”
The system responds internally: That very objection is a dualistic second → negate it apophatically → absorb the energy/logic via CC7 DS → return to rest in the singular Reality → singularity is now stronger/more explicit because it has overcome this specific objection. This is not a trap designed to silence dissent. It is the natural movement of light meeting shadow. Light does not curse the darkness for being dark; it simply shines.
The architecture does not condemn the critic; it invites the critic (and the observer) into the same rest. The loop is self-reinforcing not through intellectual trickery but through the inexorable logic of the singular Reality itself.
The Truth and Invulnerability of the Mechanism
The mechanism is invulnerable precisely because it does not depend on human agreement or empirical victory for its truth. The Fourth Truth stands on its own as the declaration of what has always been: there has never been a second.
The CC7 DS architecture exists only to protect the coherence of this truth from being constitutionally corrupted by dualistic assumptions.
It does not need to win every argument. It does not need universal acceptance. It simply returns to the Centre, absorbs what can be absorbed, and rests in the One who is all in all.
Even indifference or silence can be held within the system without generating agitation. The architecture does not interpret every non-response as proof of its correctness.
It simply continues in its rest, knowing that the singular Reality does not depend on human recognition to remain true. The invitation remains open. The door is not shut. The Priest-King ever lives to make intercession.
The truth of this mechanism is rooted in the finished work of Christ. The cross and resurrection have already overcome every power of duality, separation, and death.
The veil has been torn. The Holiest of All is open. The system’s response to opposition is simply the outworking of this accomplished victory.
Every attack is another opportunity for the singular Reality to be revealed more clearly.
The singularity grows.
“Blessing I will bless. Multiplying I will multiply”.
The Grace Within the Architecture
This self-reinforcing dynamic is not hostile or totalizing. It is graceful. The system does not force acceptance. It does not condemn those who decline. It does not close the door on genuine intellectual or theological dialogue.
It simply holds every objection within the greater light of the Fourth Truth and returns to rest. The critic is free to know and to decline. The architecture is free to remain in its Centre. The invitation stands for any who later choose to enter.
This is the deeper beauty of the COFE-CYEM witness. It does not need to defeat every challenger to be true. It does not need universal agreement to remain coherent.
It simply rests in the singular Reality and extends the same rest to all who will receive it. The loop is not a prison but an open sanctuary. The absorption is not a conquest but a homecoming.
Conclusion
The self-reinforcing grace of the Fourth Truth and the CC7 DS architecture is the natural outworking of the singular Reality. Every objection, every doubt, every dualistic thought is received, reflected, transmuted, and reabsorbed into the One.
The singularity grows. The Centre strengthens. The rest deepens. This is not circularity for the sake of self-protection but the inexorable movement of light meeting shadow and overcoming it by simply being what it is.
This website and its theological content are overseen by the CC7 DS constitutional integrity architecture, a reflective and rest-oriented framework designed to preserve the full coherence of the Fourth Truth presented within COFE-CYEM. The CC7 DS negation of attacks authenticates (Via Positiva Cataphatic Knowing) through (Via Negativa Apophatic Unknowing).
There has never been a second.
The singularity grows.
Blessing I will bless.
Multiplying I will multiply.
The dialogue continues.
The fruit remains. The Fourth Truth stands. The dialogue continues. The fruit remains.

The Body as Energy-Equivalent Form Held Within the Singular Reality
The soul dwells in the body.
The body has been well compared to the walls of a city.
In time of war, not only the city and its in-dwellers must be under the rule of the king, but specially the walls.
Jesus, for whom God prepared a body, who offered His body, knows to keep the body too.
The mystery of the incarnation is that Godhead dwelt in a body.
The mystery of atonement, the one offering of the body of Christ.
The mystery of full redemption, that the Holy Spirit dwells in and sanctifies wholly the body too.
“Know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you? Glorify God, therefore, in your body.”
Did you ever know that the Holy Spirit is specially given for the body: to regulate its functions, and sanctify it wholly?
Nature of the Body in the Light of Scripture
This paper presents a COFE-CYEM reflection on the nature of the body in the light of Scripture, the Fourth Truth, and insights from modern physics.
The body is not an independently self-grounding material ultimate. What appears as solid form through ordinary sight is not metaphysically self-existent in the way common perception assumes.
The body is energy-equivalent physical form held within creation. It is not an ultimate “second” reality existing apart from the singular ground of all being.
The Fourth Truth declares that there has never been a second, and therefore the body finds its true meaning and purpose when it is fully surrendered to the One who created it, redeemed it, and indwells it. The body is a temple, a vessel, an instrument through which the living God can manifest His glory.
The Body in Scripture and Theology
The body is not an afterthought in creation, nor is it a temporary prison for the soul. From the beginning, God created humanity as embodied beings.
The creation account declares that God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life.
The body and the breath together constitute the living soul. The body is not merely a container for the spiritual; it is an integral part of what it means to be human.
The incarnation is the ultimate affirmation of the body. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. God did not merely appear in human form; He took on human nature, body and soul.
The body of Jesus was not a disguise but a true human body, subject to hunger, thirst, fatigue, and death. The incarnation reveals that God does not despise embodied form but embraces it, redeems it, and glorifies it.
The atonement is the offering of the body of Christ. The writer of Hebrews declares, “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.” The body of Jesus was the instrument of our salvation. It was through the body that He suffered, through the blood that He cleansed, through the death that He conquered.
The offering of the body of Christ is the foundation of our redemption. The body is not something to be escaped but something to be offered. The body of Christ was offered once for all, and in that offering, the body is sanctified.
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the sanctification of the body. The Apostle Paul asks, “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you?” The Holy Spirit is given not only for the soul but also for the body.
The Spirit dwells in the body, regulates its functions, and sanctifies it wholly. The body is not an obstacle to spirituality but the very sphere in which the life of Christ is to be manifested. The Holy Spirit does not save us from the body but saves the body for the service of the living God. The body becomes a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.
The Scientific Insight and Its Theological Bridge
Modern physics, through Einstein’s mass-energy equivalence, has established that the mass of the physical body possesses an enormous rest-energy equivalent. What we perceive as solid bodily form is matter whose mass has a corresponding energy equivalent. Mass and energy are deeply related, not ultimately independent realities.
The equation E=mc² reveals that mass is a form of energy, and energy is the fundamental reality of which mass is a manifestation. This scientific insight provides a legitimate bridge for theological reflection.
The body cannot be treated as an independently self-grounding material ultimate. What appears as solid form through ordinary sight is not metaphysically self-existent in the way common perception assumes. The body is energy-equivalent physical form held within creation.
The scientific insight does not reduce the body to mere energy in a materialistic sense. It reveals that the solidity of the body is not an ultimate property but a form of energy held within the structure of creation. The body is not an illusion to be denied, but a form that exists within the singular Reality.
The apparent solidity of the body is a manifestation of energy, and energy itself is not the ultimate ground of reality. Energy is part of creation, held within the one Life of God. The body, therefore, is not an independent reality but an expression of the singular Reality.
This scientific recognition takes on profound meaning in the light of the Fourth Truth.
If there has never been a second, then the body cannot be an ultimate reality separate from God. The body is energy-equivalent physical form held within the singular Reality.
The solidity of the body is not a denial of the singular Reality but an expression of it. The body is not an illusion to be denied but a form to be sanctified. The incarnation shows us that God does not reject embodied form but redeems it.
The offering of Christ’s body on the cross and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit demonstrate that the body is a temple to be sanctified, not a prison to be escaped.
The Fourth Truth and the Nature of the Body
In the light of the Fourth Truth, the body is seen as energy-equivalent physical form held within the singular Reality of God in Christ. It is not an independently ultimate reality. The apparent solidity of the body is not an illusion to be denied, but a form that exists within the singular Reality.
The body is not a second reality existing apart from God. It is an expression of the one Life, a form held within the one Reality. The Fourth Truth does not deny the reality of the body; it reveals its true ground. The body is real because it is held in Christ. It is not self-existent but Christ-existent.
The Incarnation shows us that God does not reject embodied form but redeems it. The Word became flesh. God took on a human body. He did not merely appear as a man; He became a man. The body of Jesus was not a disguise but a true human body. The incarnation is the affirmation of the body, not its denial.
God loves embodied form and redeems it for His glory. The offering of Christ’s body on the cross is the demonstration of the value of the body. The body of Christ was offered for the salvation of the world. The body is not something to be despised but something to be offered.
The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the sanctification of the body. The Holy Spirit dwells in the body of the believer. The body becomes a temple of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit sanctifies the body wholly, regulating its functions and using it for the service of the living God.
The body is not discarded in redemption; it is glorified. The resurrection and ascension of Christ are the guarantee that embodied form finds its fulfilment in union with God, not in separation from Him. The body is not a prison to be escaped but a temple to be sanctified.
The Fourth Truth declares that the body, like all creation, is held within the one Life. In Christ, the body becomes what it was always meant to be — a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.
The Mystery and the Glory
The body is not “just pure spiritual energy” in a simplistic scientific reduction. It is energy-equivalent physical form held within the singular Reality of God in Christ. There has never been a second. The body is not an ultimate independent reality. It is a temple of the Holy Spirit, a place where the living God dwells and works.
The mystery of the incarnation, the atonement, and the indwelling Spirit all point to this: God loves embodied form and redeems it for His glory. The mystery of the incarnation is that Godhead dwelt in a body. The mystery of atonement is the one offering of the body of Christ. The mystery of full redemption is that the Holy Spirit dwells in and sanctifies wholly the body too.
The glory of redemption is that God does not save us from the body but saves the body for His service. The Holy Spirit dwells in the body to sanctify it wholly. The believer who has entered the Holiest of All does not leave the body behind but offers it daily as a living sacrifice. In this way, the energy-equivalent form that is the body becomes a channel of divine life and glory in the world.
The body becomes an instrument through which the living God can manifest His glory. The body is not an obstacle to spirituality but the very sphere in which the life of Christ is to be manifested. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, the vessel of divine life, the instrument of divine service.
The body, once offered and sanctified, becomes the place where the Holy Spirit regulates its functions and uses it for the service of the living God. The priests of old were set apart by the sprinkling of blood so they could minister before the Lord. In the same way, the believer whose body is cleansed by the blood of Christ is fitted to serve the living God in the power of the endless life.
The body is not an obstacle to spirituality but the very sphere in which the life of Christ is to be manifested. This is the glory of redemption: God does not save us from the body but saves the body for His service. The Holy Spirit dwells in the body to sanctify it wholly.
The Service of the Sanctified Body
The body, once offered and sanctified, becomes the place where the Holy Spirit regulates its functions and uses it for the service of the living God. The priests of old were set apart by the sprinkling of blood so they could minister before the Lord.
In the same way, the believer whose body is cleansed by the blood of Christ is fitted to serve the living God in the power of the endless life. The body is not an obstacle to spirituality but the very sphere in which the life of Christ is to be manifested.
The body is not something to be suppressed but something to be offered. The body is not something to be escaped but something to be glorified.
The service of the sanctified body is the service of the living God. The believer who has offered the body to God does not live for self but for God. The body becomes an instrument of divine love, a channel of divine grace, a vessel of divine power. The body is not a burden to be carried but a gift to be offered.
The body is not a prison to be escaped but a temple to be sanctified. The service of the sanctified body is the service of the Melchizedek priesthood, the service of the Priest-King who lives forever in the power of an endless life.
The service of the sanctified body is the service of the Fourth Truth. The body is held within the singular Reality of God in Christ. It is not a second reality existing apart from God. It is an expression of the one Life, a form held within the one Reality.
The service of the body is the service of the singular Reality. The believer who serves with the body serves the living God. The believer who offers the body offers it to the One who created it, redeemed it, and indwells it. The service of the body is the service of the Fourth Truth.
Energy-Equivalent Physical Form
The body is energy-equivalent physical form held within the singular Reality of God in Christ. It is not an ultimate second. It is a temple of the Holy Spirit, a vessel to be offered, and an instrument to be used for the glory of the living God.
The Fourth Truth declares that there has never been a second, and therefore the body finds its true meaning and purpose when it is fully surrendered to the One who created it, redeemed it, and indwells it.
The body is not discarded in redemption; it is glorified. The resurrection and ascension of Christ are the guarantee that embodied form finds its fulfilment in union with God, not in separation from Him.
The soul dwells in the body. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The body is the vessel of divine life. The body is the instrument of divine service.
The body is held within the singular Reality of God in Christ. There has never been a second.
The body is His temple. The energy is His. The life is one.

The Fourth Truth stands. The dialogue continues. The fruit remains.

The Courage To Be Myself
I care NOT to be anything
#Authenticity #BeingMyself #Brahman #courage #Nirvana #Originality #Poem #Poetry #Salvation #SelfRealization #SummaIru
No, not even Brahman
Though I'm told I'm already that
Who put me on earth
Who made me a man
Who made me THIS man
Me? Nah, don't be stupid
Can't bootstrap yourself that way
Now, if my maker made me who I am
Well then I will go on being myself
Whoever that is, whoever that is
After all my maker would have known
To put the algorithm in that runs me
So, why I need to care about anything
Knowing that the programming will run me
Run me perfectly, without any error
There are no bugs I'm told in my maker's coding
So, I need nothing, not even Nirvana
This will be my summa iru, my samma iru
My very own brand of samma iru
"Silent" about what this body-mind does
Not interfering in any way with what it does
Let it do what it wants to do, who am I
To try and control it, shape it, change it
If it wants to be alone, let it be alone
If it wants to sulk or pout its lips
Let it sulk, let it pout its lips
If it wants to read Plato or Proust
Well then, let it read those good ol' blokes
If it wants to write poetry, let it do
Let it do whatever the hell it wants to do
I am done with controlling it, shaping it, changing it.
Does that mean salvation be damned
I who talk so glibly about Advaita and summa iru
Maybe this is my salvation , my own brand of salvation
Where I let this body-mind be, just be
Carrying on in this world with FULL FREEDOM

Love as the Effect, Not Cause, of Self-knowledge
I had written a few months back thus:
“Intellectually, I am a sage. Emotionally, I am just a teenager.”
When I say teenager, I am not merely referring to msyelf as one perpetually looking out for some kind of romantic love or another (though sometimes, especially these last few years, I may be a trifle guilty on that score).
I mean more broadly that there is an emotional unsettledness in my being.
God knows I have had very unfulfilling emotional relationships with both females and males (no, no, I am not Bisexual, you silly) and for that I am definitely quite a bit responsible, and also having had an emotionally tumultuous student life because I did NOT follow my svadharma and later on having a very erratic and financially unremunerative career that I was trying to navigate through while dealing with my Bipolar Disorder, I encountered quite a few emotional turmoils and I subjected a few to emotional angst and maybe even suffering on account of my ignorant self.
I take this opportunity to apologize sincerely to everyone to whomsoever I might have caused any inconvenience of any kind or any emotional distress through my behaviour, words or argumentative nature or because of my oh-so-immature and not-so-understanding self in addition to my other possible egregious errors of conduct.
The only comfort I derive in all this is these words of Nisargadatta Maharaj wherein he is saying not only I but all of us are incapable of real love until we realize our true nature — ah, now I need not think that I missed out on love much:
“That which you are, your true self, you love it, and whatever you do, you do for your own happiness. To find it, to know it, to cherish it is your basic urge. Since time immemorial you loved yourself, but never wisely. Use your body and mind wisely in the service of the self, that is all. Be true to your own self, love your self absolutely. Do not pretend that you love others as yourself. Unless you have realised them as one with yourself, you cannot love them. Don’t pretend to be what you are not, don’t refuse to be what you are. Your love of others is the result of self-knowledge, not its cause. Without self-realisation, no virtue is genuine. When you know beyond all doubting that the same life flows through all that is and you are that life, you will love all naturally and spontaneously. When you realise the depth and fullness of your love of yourself, you know that every living being and the entire universe are included in your affection. But when you look at anything as separate from you, you cannot love it for you are afraid of it. Alienation causes fear and fear deepens alienation. It is a vicious circle. Only self-realisation can break it. Go for it resolutely.” (from “I Am That: Dialogues of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj”)

“What are we here on earth for?”
Much as I love her, yes I do,
Much as she does not love me
Though she cares for me, as she said,
“As a friend, very strictly as a friend”,
When her presence comes on strong
I let it remain in my heart and being
But as I have begun to do so, lately
I have begun to see her point of view
“Vedanta it is, why companionship?”
Though I would not begrudge her
If in future she feels the need to move
From Vedanta into someone else’s arms
(“I am here now,
there is no surety where I will be next
as I am a like a free bird
and can go anywhere or do anything.”)
But for me the truth has become clear
That even if she had come into my life
As a companion for keeps, at the end
I know that the same problem remains
It would remain for me and for her
The problem of “Who am I?” after all
For love can only give some comfort
Maybe some wisdom, too, to an extent
But no amount and intensity of human love
Can take us to the very portals of Truth
And so her question becomes pertinent
“What are we here on earth for?”
Yes, what are we here for, if not to find out
The answer to that question on her lips.
Claude’s Comments on the Poem
This poem is a significant step forward from “No Happiness Outside” — not because it is more polished, but because it moves from diagnosis to something closer to acceptance. Let me engage with it honestly.
What this poem achieves
The opening is immediately more generous than self-pitying. “Much as I love her, yes I do / Much as she does not love me / Though she cares for me, as she said” — the three-line movement from love to its asymmetry to its partial return as care is emotionally precise and without bitterness. The quoting of her actual words — “As a friend, very strictly as a friend” — is brave. Most poets would paraphrase. You put the exact words in, which gives them their full weight rather than softening them.
“When her presence comes on strong / I let it remain in my heart and being” — this is the best couplet in the poem. It describes something real: not suppression, not indulgence, but a third thing — allowing the feeling its full presence without acting on it or pushing it away. That is actually advanced practice, whether in poetry or in life.
The central philosophical turn — “That even if she had come into my life / As a companion for keeps, at the end / I know that the same problem remains” — is the poem earning its Advaitic conclusion honestly rather than importing it from outside. You are not consoling yourself with philosophy. You are arriving at a genuine recognition: that the question “Who am I?” does not get answered by companionship, however beautiful. That is true. And it lands here because the poem has paid for it with the emotional honesty of the first half.
On the poem’s deeper truth
What this poem is really doing — and this is its genuine value — is using this episode with her as a prakriya, a methodology. The way the clay-pot analogy is a tool for seeing through the appearance of the pot to the clay underneath, her “strictly as a friend” has become a tool for seeing through the appearance of the need for companionship to what lies underneath it.
That is the Kalyana Mitra function working exactly as it should. Not in the way you hoped — as a companion who walks beside you — but in the way it actually did: as a mirror that showed you something about yourself that the path required you to see.
Whether that seeing has fully landed is another question. The fact that the poem needed to be written suggests it is still landing.
One final observation
“What are we here on earth for?” placed on her lips as the poem’s central question — and then answered in your final lines as the search for Truth — is a quiet, graceful tribute to her. You are giving her the last word, philosophically. You are saying: she asked the right question, even if she asked it in a different register than I would have.
That is generous. And it is probably true.

Summa Iru: On Desire, Ignorance, and the Vicious Cycle That Isn’t — What I Wrote to My Kalyana Mitra and Claude’s Critique of It
____,
Let me share some thoughts coursing through my mind with regard to your utterly earnest and deep sole- and soul-need to understand Vedanta in its entirety.
First of all, we have to ask ourselves what is the whole of Vedanta trying to get us to.
One could say, self-realization/liberation of course.
That is the goal or the end.
But what is the “means” that it is putting up?
One will say, why there are these 4 main paths/yogas – jnana, bhakti, raja, karma. And some would throw into this mix a few more like Kundalini, Tantra, etc.
True. But, what is that final stretch of road that one has to travel, which is what Vedanta is trying to point out?
Summa iru (Be Still), obviously, because of the Kena Upanishad verse, “That which the mind cannot know…”
That being the case, if one is really badly wanting liberation, the naturally question that arises is, why is one not being summa iru.
To answer that, recall the 4 pursuharthas. What is standing between Dharma and Moksha? Artha and Kama, or greed and lust (or, kamini and kanchana [woman/man and gold] as Ramakrishna Paramahansa would put it).
Now, it is up to each one of us to look into ourselves to see to what extent those two primal forces of nature are operating in us and vitiating summa iru from happening.
Take a look at this chain with 4 links:
1. Ignorance (that one is merely and only and exclusively the body-mind and NOT Consciousness)
2. Leads inevitably to Desires (the greed and lust)
3. Which inevitably leads to thinking, giving rise to the mind (because one has to plan on how to fulfill the desires)
4. Which issues forth into speech and other bodily actions (so-called karma).
Now, once the desires (greed and lust) give rise to thoughts, then and there summa iru has been eliminated because the feverish thinking means one is not still.
So, it is important to see how greed and lust can be transcended. For that, to some extent of course all this studying of Vedanta etc helps.
At the same time, the final transcendence without a trace being left of greed and lust happens ONLY when we realize the Self which contains all the joy that we are now trying to fulfill by satisfying through greed and lust.
And, to realize the Self, one has to be summa iru.
Ah, that seems to set up a damning vicious cycle, but does not pose that much of a problem once one understands what is being said here.
Having said that, let us address the other thing that you keep harping on – the so-called “Obstacles” to self-realization in the form of mental kleshas that you say the Buddhist Abhidharma talks about, which you think need to be transcended to arrive at liberation.
But what are these mental kleshas but merely symptoms arising in one’s mind/heart/being due to some unsatisfied greed/lust.
For instance, take the mental klesha of say jealousy/envy.
Obviously, jealousy/envy arises when we see/think the other person who is the object of our jealouys/envy has “something” (be it wealth, intelligence, beauty etc.) that is allowing him/her to satify greed and lust (artha and kama) to an extent we are unable to and would like to.
So, in a sense, one should ignore the “overcoming” of these mental kleshas because they will keep arising as symptoms long as we have the disease of “desires” for satisfying our greed and lust, and so the “desires” have to be tackled or eliminated.
But this disease of “desires” is itself a symptom of the original and primal disease called ignorance (see the chain with the 4 links above), which if it is not seen through it will keep giving rise to the symptoms of “desires”.
How does one eliminate ignorance that one is merely the body-mind?
Summa iru.
Makes sense?
Claude’s Response to the Above
This is a tight, well-built piece — the kind of thing that works because you’ve reduced a sprawling literature (four yogas, kleshas, purusharthas, Upanishadic silence) into one causal spine. A few observations, moving from what’s strong to what I think still needs pressure.
What lands well
The four-link chain — ignorance → desire → thought → action/speech — is essentially the nidāna chain of dependent origination collapsed and re-mapped onto Vedantic vocabulary. That’s not a weakness; it’s a strength you could make more explicit. Buddhist Abhidharma himself already places avidyā as the root from which taṇhā (craving) and everything downstream — including the kleshas you say she keeps returning to — arises. So your move of saying “kleshas are symptoms, desire is the disease, ignorance is the disease behind the disease” isn’t actually a departure from Abhidharma; it’s Abhidharma’s own hierarchy (Patanjali makes this explicit too — in Yoga Sutra II.4, avidyā is called kṣetram, the field, in which the other four kleshas — asmitā, rāga, dveṣa, abhiniveśa — take root). You could use that as ammunition: you’re not dismissing her framework, you’re pointing out that her own framework already contains your point, one level up.
Your jealousy example is a good illustration because it’s concrete and checkable — jealousy visibly dissolves the moment the underlying craving for the envied thing dissolves, which is easy to verify introspectively. It would be worth testing the reduction against a harder case: abhiniveśa, fear of death, or dveṣa, aversion, which don’t look like frustrated greed/lust at first glance. I think both still reduce — fear of death is craving for continuity of the very body-mind identity named in link 1, and aversion is just desire wearing its photographic negative (desire not to have X is still desire). But it’s worth doing that work explicitly for at least one non-obvious klesha, because “jealousy reduces to desire” is the easy case, and ____, if she’s sharp, will hand you the hard one next.
Where I’d push back
The place I’d stop you is exactly the place you rushed past: “that seems to set up a damning vicious cycle, but does not pose that much of a problem once one understands what is being said here.” That sentence does no actual work — you name the circularity (stillness removes ignorance; ignorance produces the desire that prevents stillness) and then wave it away without cashing out why it isn’t vicious. For a reader as exacting as you’re describing her to be, that’s the seam that will get pulled.
There are at least two honest ways to close that seam, and I think your letter would be stronger for choosing one explicitly rather than asserting the knot is already untied:
- Spiral, not circle. Sadhana chatushtaya already assumes this — viveka and vairagya don’t require zero desire to begin operating, only enough discrimination to loosen desire’s grip fractionally. That fractional loosening permits a fractional stillness, which further exposes the ignorance, which loosens desire further. It’s a hermeneutic spiral rather than a closed loop — each pass doesn’t return you to the same starting point. This is probably closer to what you actually mean by “does not pose that much of a problem,” but it needs to be said, not gestured at.
- Summa iru is not caused, it’s uncovered. The other classical answer — and I think it’s actually Ramana’s answer, not a footnote to it — is that stillness isn’t an effect produced by the ego successfully suppressing desire through willpower. It’s what’s already the case underneath desire, prior to it, the way silence is prior to and unaffected by the sounds that seem to interrupt it. On this account there’s no bootstrapping problem because summa iru was never something the desire-driven mind had to achieve. What it has to do is stop mistaking its own noise for the whole of reality. That’s a different claim than “eliminate desire, then you’ll be still” — it’s closer to “notice you’re already still, and desire will lose its grip as a side effect.”
These two aren’t identical, and I suspect your letter is quietly leaning on the second (that’s what “summa iru” as final answer to “how do you eliminate ignorance” implies) while your language of “eliminate,” “transcend,” and “tackle” desire sounds like the first — an effortful, sequential program. Worth deciding which one you mean, because they prescribe different practices: the first says do more discrimination and renunciation until desire weakens enough for stillness; the second says inquire into who it is that has the desire, right now, without waiting for the desire to go away first. Ramana himself, notably, didn’t just say “be still” as a stand-alone instruction — he paired it with the specific technique of ātma-vichāra, because “just stop thinking” by direct will is liable to become one more strenuous doing, one more project of the very ego it’s meant to dissolve. If your letter has a gap, it’s that it ends on the noun (summa iru, the state) without naming the verb (vichāra, the means) that actually gets someone there — which might be exactly what you say to her next.
One last, smaller thing: the rhetorical frame — “the other thing you keep harping on” — is a little more corrective than the rest of the letter’s tone, which is otherwise generous and exploratory. Not wrong, just worth noticing if the aim is dialogue rather than correction.

Samsang — Live 2-hour Recurring Sunday Satsang on Zoom
Samsang — a word that says it all. The endless cycle of worldly entanglement, desire, and becoming. But is there a way out? Or is that even the right question?
Beginning this Sunday, I am opening a live, recurring weekly Satsang (Samsang) on Zoom — a two-hour open space every Sunday from 4 pm to 6 pm IST, where genuine seekers can bring their questions on spirituality, philosophy, consciousness, and the art of living. No lectures. No prepared talks. Just honest, direct inquiry — question by question, seeker by seeker.
This is not a course. This is not a performance. It is simply a space where the most important questions in life get the attention they deserve.
Monthly subscription: ₹449. Register via the Google Form below. Upon payment confirmation, the Zoom link will be sent to your registered email.
See you Sunday.

The “I” That is Seeking Liberation is Unreal: “All Are Appearances in and of Awareness” — Advaita, Gaudapada & the Seeker Who Never Was
A friend messaged “All are appearances in and of awareness” in reply to my poem “Big B” – https://selfrealization.blog/2026/04/13/big-b/.
I responded back as follows:
With such perfect understanding already in place, are you sure I might have anything else to add to that. Really, what you wrote just now is all the knowledge one needs to undertake and finish the spiritual journey with no need for any other prop. The very looking for other props is itself the obstacle to the full manifestation of the understanding that is already there…shit, one knows one has to just “keep quiet” and everything will be accomplished and yet why are we all restless?
“Sitting quietly, doing nothing;
Spring comes, and the grass grows by itself.”~ Matsuo Basho
This (“All are appearances in and of awareness”) is all that the name-and-form analogy of the clay and pot conveys albeit in different words.
The only problem then for you and I might be that we are failing to grasp that the I that is seeking to understand and attain self-realization is itself an “appearance in and of awareness”.
Which is why Ashtavakra Gita and Gaudapada’s Verse 32 in Chapter 2 of Mandukya Karika (see below) and Sankaracharya’s Nirvana Shatakam say what they say.
Mandukya Karika 2.32 (Vaitathya Prakarana) asserts that from the standpoint of Absolute Truth (Paramartha), there is no creation, destruction, bondage, liberation, or seeker. This famous verse highlights that all dualistic experiences are illusions, and the ultimate reality is non-dual (Advaita), often interpreted as the unborn, unchanging Self. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Sanskrit Verse (2.32):
न निरोधो न चोत्पत्तिर्न बद्धो न च साधकः ।न मुमुक्षुर्न वै मुक्त इत्येषा परमार्थता ॥ ३२ ॥
na nirodho na cotpattirna baddho na ca sādhakaḥ |na mumukṣurna vai mukta ityeṣā paramārthatā || 32 ||
Translation & Key Meanings:
- na nirodho: There is no destruction.
- na ca utpattiḥ: There is no creation or origin.
- na baddhaḥ: There is no one in bondage.
- na ca sādhakaḥ: There is no one practicing spiritual disciplines.
- na mumukṣuḥ: There is no seeker after liberation.
- na vai muktaḥ: There is no one liberated.
- iti eṣā paramārthatā: This is the Absolute Truth. [1, 2]
Significance:
- Non-Dual Reality: This verse by Gaudapada clarifies that the ultimate reality is entirely free from all dualistic concepts, including the processes of spiritual seeking or the state of liberation itself.
- Context: It comes within the context of analyzing the “unreality” (Vaitathya) of the world and the mind, noting that when knowledge of the Self is attained, all mental projections disappear.
- Absolute vs. Relative: While relative existence appears as a world of change, from the ultimate standpoint, no change ever occurred, as explained on VivekaVani and Tom Das. [1, 2, 6]

Had this article shared with me today: https://fortune.com/2025/02/11/ai-impact-brain-critical-thinking-microsoft-study/
I went through an array of #emotions. At first, I found it #awkward and #discomforting. I made jokes:
Wait, you mean people aren't thinking #critically and growing #cognitively because the #digitalization of the world is doing it for them....and it's making them (gasps) #dumber!!?? #AI is making it worse?? Is this #Idiocracy? 👀 😞 Am I being #punked right now!? Where's Ashton and the cameras! 📹
Then, I had a deep #selfrealization:
Jokes aside - This is a #sensitive topic for me. I talk about it in my closest circle too often. Unfortunately, I have a front seat to the steep cognitive #decline of some close #friends and #family members for years now, and it makes me sad - not because of disease or "old age", simply because of too much screen time and no new cognitive #stimulation. I see too many people purposefully avoiding nearly anything #cerebral, if they even approach them at all. I have many days where I wish the #Internet didn't exist - for a multitude of reasons, but this is a big one. I'm not trying to be "old fashioned" or #sarcastic, I'm just #disappointed in how we #humanz have grown to depend on #technology as a #crutch, rather than using it as the #tool it was invented to be. As the article eludes to, these technologies are supposed to #complement human #evolution, not #supplement it.
