  1. #CurrentlyReading “Ramana Maharshi: Teachings of Self-Realization” by Robert Wolfe. Page 63 quote: “All things come and go in the Self; therefore all but the Self is not genuine or truly existent. When the truth is clearly perceived, the ‘I-thought’ (the idea of self existence—for anything other than the Essence) falls away.…Anything which can be named is merely an alias for one thing: that Essence.”

  2. The quote on the image below appears on page 46 of the book "Ramana Maharshi: Teachings of Self-Realization" by Robert Wolfe. It begins with, "For those who ask, 'What is to be done about the conditions in the world?', Ramana replies: 'First set yourself right, and then only set out to improve "others."'

In other words, only when you let go of your small self and accept the "capital S" Self can you hope to help "others" see that there are no others.

  3. "It is the attention turned towards the body that causes the distinctions between 'you' and 'I'. If one realizes that the reality is One, where then is the scope for saying 'you' or 'I'?"

  4. I'm reading through "Ramana Maharshi: Teachings of Self-Realization" by Robert Wolfe. It's written as if someone is having a Q&A session with Ramana, with the answers being a collection of his teachings. This is a quote that spoke to me today: "When once you realize your own Self, and that there is nothing other than this Self, you will come to look upon the whole universe as the Self....The totality of all things and beings constitute Self." #Ramana #Spirituality #Self #Universe #SpiritualBNR

  6. What is Bhakti?

#Bhakti (Devotion) is not different from Mukti (Release). Bhakti is being as the Self (Swarupa). One is always That. He realises it by the means he adopts. What is Bhakti? To think of God. That means: only one thought prevails to the exclusion of all other thoughts. That thought is of God which is the Self or it is the Self surrendered unto God. When He has taken you up nothing will assail you. The absence of thoughts is Bhakti. It is also Mukti.
