Took my child to the local pool/rec center today to swim. Begged me to swim too. So I did. Child found friend and abandoned me (as I tried to tell them would happen and I didn't need to swim) spent hour doing various laps around the pool. Got out for the 10 minute break they do at the end of every hour.

Child comes over and says "mom why aren't you swimming? Go on, go have fun!"

Me: I've been exercising the last hour I want a break too!
