Ok that's pretty cool.

I tried #GOS for 6 months, it was good for an android thing.

I stand with Samuel Tunick, although, if I where placed in a similar situation I would not have used a distress pin, not directly anyway. I would have made sure my phone was either off of at least I would have logged oout and had the phone in Before First Unlock or BFU state. But for the curious, the distress pin is written on a thin paper inside the phone case :anarchy: . If they entered a random pin on the phone it would have been on them. How would you mitigate a similar situation? #DistressPin #GOS #BoarderSearch

rpm-ostree kargs --append=
is really great
and rpm-ostress works over torsocks, atomic just doesn't like systemd so run 'tor' manually

i run different profiles with confidential areas, each with its own VPN / Tor. Owner profile is only for managing apps, settings, etc. no network access,...

3 Jahre Android-Updates und 5 Jahre Security-Patches sind allerdings auch deutlich kürzer als die #Pixel-Serie bietet. 😔

Either way, abwarten heißt die Devise. Mein #Pixel8 ist alles andere als austauschbedürftig.

@desater Die App laeuft problemlos auf #GrapheneOS. Allerdings finde ich die App nur im Google Playstore, was fuer viele #GOS User keine Option ist, da sie komplett "de-googled" sind. Wenn Du die App z. B. per F-Droid oder Obtainium (direkt aus 'nem Github Repo) verfuegbar machst, sollte jeder #GOS user damit zurecht kommen.

Forgive my kvetching, but it drives me nuts that #AOSP-based #Android OSes always treat hyphenated words as words.

For example, if you type in "apple-cart," you get a red squiggly underline and it tries to recommend replacing it with "apricot" or something. The only way around it is to add every. single. hyphenated. word. you. use. into the dictionary. 😮‍💨

It's been a constant, daily annoyance for the past five and a half years, and the only fix is to install something like GBoard and use its spelling correction engine or whatever you call it, and I'd rather not.

I've experienced it on #CalyxOS and #IodéOS, but I don't recall if #GrapheneOS has the same issue, because I only tried it briefly.

Alright, so yesterday I was installing #grapheneos on a Pixel 9a, and before I enabled OEM unlocking I had to deal with the stock #android. I held the power button so I could reboot the phone and enter fastboot. It only makes sense that holding the power button will give you a menu related to the device's power, right? Well, apparently not for #google, as holding the power button opened the fucking #gemini app.
