Calling Out the Church Is an Act of Witness
“Why are you calling the church out and making them look so bad?” someone asked me after I preached about the church’s lack of justice. “The people you’re preaching to probably don’t even need to hear that message. You were likely just preaching to the choir and calling out rare extremists.”
I always feel a bit gaslighted when people tell me this. I wish I had screenshotted all of the insane posts I saw from Christians I knew during the pandemic. The “rare” extremists are apparently many of my friends. I grew up with them. I played at their houses. They taught me who Jesus was. And now that they had been socially and politically provoked, I was observing in them an unimaginable behavior I didn’t know they were capable of.
To some extent, I need to speak out on these issues for evangelistic reasons, as the world needs to see a pastor address such behavior. Unbelievers think that the “rare” extremist is what Christianity looks like because they have seen the same posts I have. I also need to speak out to save myself. If I allow this kind of stuff to go on without saying anything, then I become complacent—and I can’t handle that. People need to know that Christians aren’t all like that. They need to know that Jesus looks different than what’s being presented to them.
To represent God wrongly is what it means to take the Lord’s name in vain, and it was such a big deal to God that he made it one of the Ten Commandments. In the Old Testament, the Israelites bore the name of Yahweh just by being Israelites. Wherever they went and whatever they did, they were to be a specific representation of the name Yahweh. They were to have the character of Yahweh, do justice like Yahweh, farm like Yahweh, party like Yahweh, and take care of the oppressed like Yahweh. They failed over and over and over again until Yahweh eventually divorced his abusive wife, Israel. They had not done a good job of portraying Yahweh to the world, and they had taken his name in vain through their misrepresentation. Christians do the same thing.
So why do I speak about justice to a world that doesn’t always want to hear about it?
I speak because someone has to bear witness to it.

Spirituality & Religious Studies @spiritualityreligiousstudies.wordpress.com@spiritualityreligiousstudies.wordpress.com ·Samaritanism
Samaritanism is an Abrahamic monotheistic, ethnic religion. It comprises the collective spiritual, cultural, & legal traditions of the Samaritan people.
Often preferring to be called Israelite Samaritans, who originated from the Hebrews & Israelites. They began to emerge as a relatively distinct group after the Kingdom of Israel was conquered by the Neo-Assyrian Empire during the Iron Age. The Neo-Assyrian Empire was the 4th, & penultimate, stage of ancient Assyrian history.
Central to their continuity as an Indigenous Heritage in the Holy Land is keeping the Patriarchal & Mosaic covenant as specified in the Samaritan Torah. Samaritans believe this is the original & unchanged version of the Pentateuch (which is the first 5 books of the Hebrew & Christian bible) since Moses & the Israelites at Mount Sinai.
The Abisha Scroll is traditionally held by the community to be the oldest existing scroll written by Abisha, son of Aaron the priest, around 3,000 years ago based on living tradition. However, Jewish & Christian theologians have made attempts to dispute this claim which proved unsatisfactory.
Judaism claims Samaritanism developed right alongside their own religion. Samaritanism asserts itself as the true preserved form of the monotheistic faith that the Israelites kept under Moses. Samaritan belief also holds that the Israelites’ original holy site was Mount Gerizim, near Nablus, the State of Palestine (West Bank).
They also believe that Jerusalem only attained importance under Israelite dissenters who had followed Eli (In the Book of Samuel, Eli was a priest & judge of the Israelites in the city of Shiloh) to the city of Shiloh.
The Israelites who remained at Mount Gerizim would become the Samaritans in the Kingdom of Judah. Mount Gerizim is revered by Samaritans as the location where the Binding of Isaac occurred. In comparison to the Jewish belief that it occurred at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.
Today there are only about 900 registered communal members. This puts Samaritanism as 1 of the smallest ethnoreligious groups globally in the Abrahamic faiths. Samaritans believe that this is a prophecy fulfilled from the scriptures: “You’ll be left few in number.”
Though they hope for a future time when a prophet like Moses known as the “Taheb” (Restorer) will perform 3 signs, namely the jar of manna, the staff of Moses, & Cherubim, or the Golden Candlestick.
This time period they believe is when an era of Divine Favor would return, & the hidden tabernacle of Moses would miraculously be revealed for the Israelite people & Mount Gerizim is restored to its former glory.
Samaritans trace their history, as a separate entity, to a period soon after the Israelites’ arrival into the “Promised Land.” Samaritan historiography traces the schism to High Priest Eli leaving Mount Gerizim, where stood the 1st Israelite altar in Canaan, & building a competing altar in nearby Shiloh.
The dissenting group of Israelites who followed Eli to Shiloh would be the ones who, in later years, would head south to settle in Jerusalem (the Jews). Whereas the Israelites who stayed on Mount Gerizim, in Samaria, would become known as the Samaritans.
Genetic studies in 2004 suggest that Samaritans’ lineages trace back to a common ancestor with Jews in the paternally-inherited Jewish high priesthood (Cohanim) temporally near to the period of the Assyrian conquest of the Kingdom of Israel. They’re probably descendants of the historical Israelite population. The Cohanim refers to the Jewish priestly class, male descendants of Aaron the priest.
The Hasmonean king, John Hyrcanus, destroyed the Mount Gerizim Temple & brought Samaria under his control around 120 BCE. This led to a long-lasting sense of mutual hostility between the Jews & Samaritans.
From this point, the Samaritans likely sought to consciously distance themselves from their Judean brethren. Both peoples came to see the Samaritan faith as a religion distinct from Judaism. By the time of Jesus, Samaritans & Jews deeply disparaged one another, as shown by Jesus’ Parable of the Good Samaritan.
The main beliefs of Samaritanism are:
- There’s 1 God, Yahweh, the same God recognized by the Jewish prophets.
- The Torah is the only true holy book & was given by God to Moses. The Torah was created before the creation of the world & whoever believes in it is assured a part in the world to come. The Torah’s status in Samaritanism as the only holy book causes them to reject the Oral Torah, the Talmud, & all the prophets & scriptures, except for a version of the Book of Joshua (which they don’t hold as Scripture), whose book in the Samaritan community is significantly different from the Book of Joshua in the Jewish “Bible.” Moses is considered to be the last of the line of prophets.
- Mount Gerizim, not Jerusalem, is the 1 true sanctuary chosen by God. The Samaritans don’t recognize the sanctity of Jerusalem & don’t recognize the Temple Mount, claiming instead that Mount Gerizim was the place where the Binding of Isaac took place.
- The Apocalypse, called “the day of vengeance,” will be the end of days. When an entity called the Taheb (basically the Jewish Messiah equal) that comes from the tribe of Joseph will come, be a prophet like Moses for 40 years & bring about the return of all the Israelites, following which the dead will be resurrected. The Tahib will then discover the tent of Moses’ Tabernacle on Mount Gerizim, & will be buried next to Joseph when he dies.
The Samaritans have retained the institution of a high priesthood & the practice of slaughtering & eating lambs on Passover Eve. They celebrated Pesach, Shavuot, & Sukkot. But they use a different method from that used in mainstream Judaism in order to determine the dates annually.
For example, Yom Teru’ah (the biblical name for Rosh Hashanah), at the beginning of Tishrei (This is the 1st month of the civil year & the 7th month of the ecclesiastical year in the Hebrew calendar.), isn’t considered a New Year as it is in Rabbinic Judaism.
Their Sabbath is observed weekly by the Samaritan community every week from Friday to Saturday, beginning & ending at sundown. For 24 hours, the families gather together to celebrate the rest day: all electricity with the exception of minimal lighting (kept on the entire day) in the house is disconnected, no work is done, & neither cooking nor driving is allowed.
The time is devoted to worship which consists of 7 prayer services, reading the weekly Torah portion, spending quality time with family, taking meals, rest & sleep, & visiting other members of the community.
Passover is particularly important in the Samaritan community, climaxing with the sacrifice of up to 40 sheep.
The Counting of the Omar remains relatively unchanged. The Counting of the Omar is a ritual in Judaism that consists of a verbal counting of each of the 49 days between the holidays of Passover & Shavuot. However, the week before Shavuot is a unique festival celebrating the continued commitment Samaritanism has maintained since the time of Moses.
During Sukkot, the Sukkah (the temporary hut built for use during Sukkot) is built INSIDE of houses, instead of OUTSIDE like mainstream Judaism. This Samaritan tradition is traced back to the persecution of the Samaritans during the Byzantine Empire.
The roof of the Samaritan Sukkah is decorated with citrus fruits & branches of palm, myrtle, & willow trees. This is in accordance with the Samaritan interpretation of the 4 species designated in the Torah for the holiday. The 4 species are 4 plants (the etrog, lulav, hadass, & aravah) mentioned in the Torah as being relevant to the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

Lawyers Lie -> Dreams Die
Every lie has an expiration date.
(Sent to Alper and Chad on Saturday February 8, 2025 at 8:56 A.M. C.S.T)
I am 55 years old and I have committed the best part of my productive adult life to ASM. The idea took root in 2000. That’s 25 years. If you both think you know more about everything than the architect, then ignore me (again) and continue to circle the drain one last time before the flush.
Rather than spending 5 years (FIVE YEARS!) on other things and waiting until the last minute to file a LATE answer which focused on blaming everything on me, leaving out the fact that YOU BOTH took these share grants yourselves (NSEI public records will prove) and ending up with a $1.8M claim (the totality of my efforts in fundraising), you could have done much better WITH THE TRUTH. To be honest, this judge was VERY KIND to us. It could have been a whole lot worse.. A LOT worse. He basically validated the future value of ASM beyond this matter and, most importantly, showed you exactly what you did wrong. Rather than heaping dirt on me, a careful accounting should have been done on the promotional expenses. We did NOT promote the share grants with that money. We promoted the platform (ASM on a billboard, right?). Direct charges for the donations/grants program should be just the cost of EMAILS ($25/mo.?) sent to ASM accountholders. I challenge you to find a single example of direct marketing or public relations that promoted the share grants. I am not an idiot. We talked about this setup being a grey area from almost day 1 (this is in YOUR SEC depositions!). Stop playing stupid lawyer games. This happened and you both know it. Do you want me to locate all the communications and post them in the public domain? Basket of goods, membership of ASM, donation from NSEI, credit from CWH.. Etc..etc.. That discussion happened.. A LOT. The “my stomach hurts” email came when the outsiders started pouring in. However, NOBODY came up with a workable funding solution, only theories of what might work. I was the one watching that cash flow moment by moment every waking hour and making the adjustments to balance the books. There are not 10 people in the world who could have done this.
I warned you about dishonesty emphatically, repeatedly and over a long period of time. Now you are basically facing the challenge of raising every dollar I personally raised under these present difficult circumstances in 3 weeks or face ruin. Well, since I am the one who kept the whole thing funded with my efforts, without a stake in the business, and got thrown to the wolves when it mattered most, this is fair play. NOBODY brought any significant funding from the outside over the entire restart period. Now, you have to do it in 21 days. Hard not to see GOD in this exactly as I said…over and over again.
If it were my decision, I would file an appeal based on the roadmap provided by the judge. He told you exactly what to do. Now before you dismiss me and go about your own way, let me remind you about “joint and several”. If you leave me out of any appeal or post-judgment action, the entire amount will continue to be owed by CWH/NSEI until paid. All my assets and income are exempt for the next 27 years. So, they will drive CWH into BK or a forced sale of assets. If that happens, you can be sure some of the shareholders will come after YOU BOTH with claims. Further, do you have every signature or help you will ever need from me? I am a very dangerous bridge to burn. See the story of Apple when they “forced out” (another lie.. Wow) Jobs in favor of Sculley. He came back in the nick of time and worked for $1/year to make Apple one of the biggest companies on earth. Learn something about the value of a founder.
YES, this tone is scolding. It should be. If the roles were reversed, you would not even be this level-headed and reasonable. I still see a future for my life’s work and the judge road mapped and validated it. Further, to just stand back and watch it be destroyed is something I just can’t do. I’ve debated on whether or not to say anything for a week and settled on stepping forward. Nobody will be able to claim I didn’t make all this crystal clear.
Once again, you get ONE LAST option to do the right thing. Frankly I am stunned at how much grace is being given here. Your call.

A New American Dream – Independence Day 2024
Time for Another Crusade – Part One
America and the world are in crisis. Look around you. Try to pretend everything is alright. Can you? I can’t. Something has gone terribly wrong, and it is getting worse. It seems to have started after the terrorist attacks in 2001, gained steam during “The Great Recession” in 2008 and hit hyperdrive with the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020.
When I was in my 20s during the 1990s, I can never remember thinking about making the rent. I lived alone in Phoenix, Arizona which was well over a million in population at that time. I was not living in the woods. Historically the two main expensive markets were Los Angeles and New York. Now, everywhere is expensive. Try to find an apartment anywhere for $1,000 per month. Everyone I know, including my own sons, MUST have at least one roommate to make the rent. The problem gets worse by the day. So, what is going on here?
First, the “expert” policymakers are making one bad decision after another. There is no real production going on anymore. The majority of the economy is just a shell game moving money around or just printing it out of thin air, like crypto. Worse, vices are being promoted like never before. Gambling is embraced and drugs are legalized. A nation of stoned gamblers trading meme coins and NFTs is a guaranteed recipe for disaster. This is not production. This is fraud on the people’s wallets and their souls.
So, what is the answer? In a word, we need new REAL production. That will not come from the old ways of manufacturing and farming. Those days are gone. The markets are a global race to the bottom, and they are not coming back. You can’t stop market forces. Policy patchwork might slow it down, but the markets always win. People vote with their money and in a capitalistic world, that is all you can rely on. There is no political solution. Forget Trump, Biden or Musk. This problem is far bigger than any one man or even group of intelligent motivated men. You can only depend on the stick and the carrot or more technically, incentives and disincentives. You must also meet people where they are in terms of access and, most importantly, their passions. People spend their time and money on what they value most. This is natural and normal. So, where is that?
The single largest identifiable market segment on Earth is… SPORTS FANS. This demographic is even greater than the male and female genders. Further sports fans are tribal, and I would offer that their passion is equal to or greater than religion. Sports are their religion. That means they focus their time, treasure and emotion on it. Can anyone doubt this? One step further, e-sports thrown in, this demographic easily runs into the billions and probably exceeds half of the entire world’s population. It will only grow. As global smartphone usage explodes by the moment, you can easily meet this demographic right where they are, staring into their little black boxes for hours every single day of the year everywhere on the planet. At this moment, it is a CONSUMPTIVE market, not a PRODUCTIVE one. That must change.
Imagine a sports fan in Congo creating a business plan for a football (soccer) league in his neighborhood and selling that idea successfully to New York Yankees fans and thousands of others all over the globe. With that same smartphone, he can even stream professional grade video to his fans, sell gear worldwide and create a perpetual income stream to keep things running. This is not about making the big leagues richer (although that will happen) or a clever way to gamble or speculate on sports. This is not a toy or a game. This is about creating real opportunity everywhere on the planet, which is bi-directional. What do you think will happen when that Congo sports entrepreneur puts up his field? Every type of LOCAL business will spring up around it ON TOP of the global internet marketplace. Just look at your local sports stadium and imagine that everywhere. Finally, sports are REAL production which are good for the pocketbook, body and soul. I would go one further and include man’s spirit, which is the MOST important thing.
Do you want to join this crusade? Just go to AllSportsMarket.com and sign up for a FREE account and trade. It will not cost you a cent now or in the future. It will not benefit me either. You can’t spend money there if you wanted to. The government is trying to make sure of that. Instead of listening to a good idea, they seem hell-bent (literally) on destroying it. If you don’t want that to happen, trade for free and spread it around. Imagine a new world of sports opportunity for yourself and others. This is a future worth fighting for.
This is not about personal ambition. I have no stake in the outcome and have not for more than a decade. This is a personal crusade now approaching a quarter century (about half) of my life. I am the principal architect, directed by the divine hand of GOD, and given a personal directive (crusade) by him IN PERSON. That true story is for another time. Stay tuned.
“The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him. By God’s help, I aim to be that man.” – Dwight L. Moody
Amen to that.

Guess now we know why he's never stopping things like child rape and genocide. Too busy dicking off in the desert.

“The extent to which the worship of Baal and Asherah affected Israel’s understanding of Yahweh is seen in the inscriptions found at Kuntillet Ajrud. Jezebel was not fully responsible for the ongoing worship of Canaanite deities in Israel and Judah but her reign gave legitimacy to the long held tendency.”
