Book 15 of Discworld and the second book of the City Watch miniseries. A full 10 years after the beginning of the series and it was still going strong. I am reading them all in order, except for one exception so far.
There would definitely be advantages to reading the separate miniseries in order rather than all of them but I like seeing how the whole unfolded as it was published.
I still favor the Death books over the Witches, Wizards, and City Watch books so far. The stand alone ones have been quite good too, so far. Wizards are my second favorite, so far. Carrot is growing on me though. Love his connections to Dwarf culture despite being a big strong human. The undead are a fine addition to the city of Ankh-Morpork as well as the little dragons from Guards! Guards!.

Der Neonazi André Rene Hagen, aus dem Umfeld der Partei „Die Heimat“, führte am 17.10.2026 die AfD-Demo in Neumünster an.
Es ist nicht verwunderlich, dass Hagen am 18.10.2026 auch an der missglückten Banner-Aktion, der Initiative des österreichischen Neonazi Martin Sellner, die von Jan Hoyer geleitet wurde, beteiligt war.
Schon bei der Demonstration in Neumünster brüllte er nicht nur „Remigration“ durch ein Megaphon, sondern auch, was er darunter versteht, nämlich alle Menschen die nicht in sein faschistisches Weltbild passen abzuschieben, was sonst von der AfD gerne bestritten wird.
Die Demo in Neumünster, wie die Banner-Aktion in Hamburg Langhorn wurden von den ehemaligen stellvertretenden Parteivorsitzenden der NPD (Die Heimat) Sebastian Schmidtke begleitet und filmisch dokumentiert.
André Rene Hagen ist fester Bestandteil der neofaschistischen Jugendorganisation „Generation Deutschland“.
Er war bei der Gründung der GD SH anwesend, zuletzt auch bei der GD-Wanderung am 03.10. im Harz sowie beim Aufmarsch der Jugendorganisation in Schwerin.
Ansonsten ist er bei verschiedensten Veranstaltungen der AfD und GD anwesend, beteiligt sich an den Boxtrainings der Generation Deutschland und hetzt auf Social Media gegen Migrant*innen und alternative Jugendzentren.
André Rene Hagen, laut Selbstauskunft ehemaliger Soldat, möchte für die AfD Segeberg bei der Landtagswahl in den Schleswig-holsteinischen Landtag einziehen und dort in den Ausschuss für Inneres und Recht.
Aber André Rene Hagen ist nicht nur bei der AfD und ihrer Jugendorganisation zu verorten.
Am 8. August 2025 war Hagen Teilnehmer einer Veranstaltung von „Die Heimat“ (NPD) in Essen-Kray.
Sie veranstaltete dort ein Treffen mit anschließender Demonstration. Im Nachgang kam es dort noch zu einem Angriff von jugendlichen Neonazis auf Gegendemonstrant*innen.
A. R. Hagen ist nicht der erste Neonazi aus dem AfD Kreisverband Segeberg.
Zur Kommunalwahl 2018 wurde bekannt, dass sich der verurteilte Rassist und Neonazi Michael H., hat zur Wahl aufstellen lassen.
Nach bekannt werden seiner Vergangenheit in der „Blut und Ehre Division“ in Norderstedt, die unter dem Label „Ku Klux Klan“ rassistischen Terror verbreitet hat, legte er seine Kandidatur nieder und trat aus der AfD aus, der er seit 2013 angehörte.
Auch das heute ehemalige AfD-Mitglied und Neonazi Melvin Schwede pflegte Kontakte zur NPD, heute „Die Heimat“.
Melvin Schwede verletzte am Rande einer AfD Veranstaltung am 17.10.2020 in Henstedt-Ulzburg, bei einem rechten und rassistischen Auto-Anschlag, vier Antifaschist*innen zum Teil so schwer, dass diese noch heute mit den Folgen zu kämpfen haben. Kurz nach der Tat musste Schwede die AfD verlassen.
Kurt Klaus Kleinschmidt als AfD Landesvorsitzender zum Anschlag befragt, kommentierte die potentielle tödliche Attacke mit den Worten „Es hat uns nicht geschadet, es hat uns aber auch nicht genützt.“
So fügt sich nun auch André Rene Hagen in die Reihen der Personalien der AfD ein, die den neofaschistischen Kern der Partei offenbaren.

I had a close friend who is really shitty about nonbinary people and has been for years, we had a bit of a falling out after I called him out on it regarding a friend of ours (not even myself, though he was really shitty to me when I came out to him too) for refusing to use their preferred pronouns and even mocking the entire concept of not being male or female. After that, we just quit talking regularly and eventually I built up enough self-respect that I quietly blocked him on social media without saying a word and purposefully did not give him my new phone number when I switched carriers.
Expelling toxic people who don't accept you for who and what you are is ALWAYS the right choice. If their heart changes later, you can reconsider, but until then you don't need to subject yourself to fuckheads.
I haven't written a college paper since I was probably about 25, back when I used to make a bit of beer money for sometimes churning them out for student friends despite being a dropout myself, so I'm pretty pleased it only took about an hour out of my day to pop out about 3 pages for my first paper of my own college experience today. Will still have to do a couple more in class this week and still need to proof and edit in the morning before I turn in these body paragraphs but it is was a pretty smooth and easy start.
It has been a Mission of Burma morning. I finished listening to one of their late 00s post-reunion records which are all pretty great and then I decided to listen to their first live album from post-breakup which is REALLY well recorded for a live mid-80s indie rock album.
