  1. Attention Londoners. Delighted tonight to discover that #Islington Council is proposing to redesign Market Road in N1 - parked cars will define westbound lane; a raised track will provide eastbound equivalent.
There are also improvements to pavements, zebra crossings and bus stops, more trees with better beds and rain gardens to absorb water.
It also improves links between Islington and Camden. Get your comments in there. #joiningthedots #cycling #activetravel #London

  2. #Islington Council logic in icy weather:
    1) Lay down salt and grit throughout estate.
    2) Send road sweeping vehicles to hoover up salt and grit throughout estate

  3. Great interview and review in Rock-the-jontmagazine.

"South Africa's wildest alt-rock duo, The Soap Girls, sat down with us to talk animals, Ace Frehley, touring chaos and pure creative mayhem.
From baboons to busted drummers, nothing was off the table.
We also hit Islington to catch one of their tightest, fiercest shows to date and trust us, it was a glitter-soaked riot."

  5. The #foxes of #Islington would rather I just #walktober onwards, and leave them with the privacy necessary to bothering their neighbours by yowling in the dark!

  7. "Have I the Right?" was the debut single and biggest hit of the English band #theHoneycombs. It was composed by #KenHoward and #AlanBlaikley, who had made contact with the Honeycombs, a London-based group, then playing under the name of the Sheratons, in the Mildmay Tavern in the Balls Pond Road in #Islington, where they played a date. Howard and Blaikley were impressed by the group's lead vocalist, Dennis D'Ell, and the fact that they had a female drummer.

  8. Hello #london / #islington friends! Would anyone like 4 tickets to the National Geographic Traveller Food Festival today? I can’t go and they’ll go to waste otherwise! (It’s in #Angel, at the business design centre)

It’s just begun, and is open until 6pm (last entry and 4:30pm)

Message me if you’d like them or can find a good home for them! (Boosts welcome!)

  9. This hyperlocal festival brings together all types of people and groups from our community. This kind of connection and celebration is more important than ever right now.

  11. Lovely Peeps!

This is the #MusicVideo I was looking for!

It is by Smith & Burrows, and the #puppets & puppeteers were from #LittleAngelTheatre in #Islington.

"We've got to find a little light from somewhere, got to find a little light from somewhere. Take a walk down Parliament Hill - six a.m. and the world is still."

According to Wikipedia, #ParliamentHill is "an area of open parkland in the south-east corner of Hampstead Heath in north-west London. The hill, which is 98 metres (322 ft) high, is notable for its views of the capital's skyline."

    Enjoy!
