  1. A dedicated morning today with records by Elliott, Planes Mistaken for Stars, and now Knapsack blasting from my cheap Amazon computer speakers. Pissed that I couldn't sleep in past 6 AM this morning, but at least I had time to dedicate to one of the best music scenes of the 90s.

  2. Katherine Legge is an absolute mad lady for wanting to casually attempt The Double (Indy 500 and Coke 600 in the same day) and I'm totally on board with it. I think it'd be neat to have a woman attempt it and her reasoning of "Why Not?" makes sense to me. She races in both series and has the sponsorship to get a ride in both races, so why shouldn't she attempt it?

  3. I stopped myself at ONLY wearing 5 buttons from my rotation today.

  4. I bought a 12 pack of Faygo Rock & Rye despite having never tasted it because my friend spoke highly of it and it was the smallest they had available. Fortunately, I'm happy to report that it is quite tasty. Reminds me a lot of Red Cream Soda but with a little bit of cherry tartness. I will definitely drink this whole 12 pack.

  5. Nico's albums with John Cale was the most goth shit you could get in the 70s. Droney and with every song feeling like a funeral dirge, so excellent and a perfect match for her unique voice.

  6. My most controversial take among History Channel Men is that the US really no reason entering WWI and in fact probably should not have but they just desired spreading their influence around the world and having a say in the future of Europe which they otherwise had no right to.

  7. "I've done this before, but I always wake up" I am sooo thrilled for Andy Jankowiak who has worked so hard to put together and build up this ARCA effort and is one of the true working class guys in the sport who for years funded racing from his tips delivering pizzas.

  8. I've done so little today despite staying home from school and having more freedom to watch TV or read or listen to more than just one album this morning. I did do a fair amount of schoolwork for my online class, but mostly just sat in silence.

Now watching a docuseries about John Wayne Gacy on Tubi. Maybe nothing would have been a better option.

  9. Watching this race mostly on mute cause I couldn't be less interested in hearing them constantly talk about Cleetus McFarland as if Phil Parsons has ever watched a YouTube content creator on purpose

Yet another race in which I'm pretty underwhelmed by what Cleetus is capable of in an ARCA car. Yeah, he can run top 10, but not above 9th-10th in a good car. shouldn't have approved him for anything above Truck short tracks with what he's done in an ARCA car

  10. Bunch of lady drivers in in this race, really love to see it, it is inevitable at this rate there will be SOME lady who smashes that glass ceiling and can actually be competitive at the NASCAR level. I hate seeing the sexists feel justified when a decent but not great lady in ARCA moves to Trucks and struggles, but when its so much harder for them to get rides it is harder to find the very rare drivers who are ready for which even MOST male ARCA drivers aren't

  11. My football chat was talking about the Trump DOJ going after the NFL on the basis of their streaming deals, and I was like "Finally, my otherwise useless knowledge of the complete history of the original USFL has use" and I went on a rant about the decades old bad blood between Trump and the NFL who repeatedly went out of their way to block multiple ownership attempts by Trump

  12. I have a hole in me that can only be filled by watching on a regular basis

  13. Never knew Steinbeck tackled King Arthur but I immediately grabbed it when I saw it in the Little Free Library I sometimes frequent. His lefty ass might give an interesting take on the mythos that have never really appealed to me but maybe in this form they will.

  14. My school is owned and run by Goodwill, so I enjoy that I'm getting my picture plastered on the wall with and pins on my chest. people and people welcome.
