**A historic transfer of wealth will be centered in the Bay Area. It may not look like you expect**
This article is about the anticipated wealth transfer from Boomers (like me, who currently range in age from 62 to 80) to their family members (&/or to charities) after they die.
I'm generation skipping because my son turned out to be an ungrateful SOB. So, I currently plan to transfer all of my $/assets to my 2 grandchildren but, if they turn out to be ungrateful SOBs too, I'll give it all to charity.
I don't feel like I owe any of them anything & I don't want them to know how much $ they're likely to receive because I don't want that knowleege to affect how they relate & treat me before I die.
All I'd like to get some unsolicited attention & respect from them as their grandfather &, if I get that, they'll get the $. Otherwise not!
We'll see . . .

@vosje62 Ik weet niet of het echt zo ellendig is dat die twee #boomers (putin en trump) ervoor zorgen dat in hoog tempo alle fossiele infrastructuur opgeblazen cq ontmanteld wordt. Waar ik mij wel zorgen over maak is de hegonomie die rond China ontstaat en straks de wereld in haar greep heeft omdat ze al decennia lang voorsorteert op #eindeFossiel (waarmee ik niet wil zeggen dat zo’n snelle omslag waarbij je ook nog even de hele strategische voorraad er doorheen jaagt, heel makkelijk wordt)

Dear GenX and Boomers; It’s the 1980’s again. Again the rich & yuppies have removed most if not all regulations from capital, and are telling the rest of us — about to get hurt or lose it all in the crash that their unfettered access to money created — that we’re stupid and left wing ideals are the actual problem, we should just get rich like them.
I’ve seen this game of musical chairs before, and I know how it ends.
