Dat was ook de bedoeling. Natuurlijk ben ik niet voor een maximum leeftijdsgrens om te mogen stemmen. Wel voor een verlaging van de leeftijdsgrens naar 15. Het is echter wel een groot schandaal dat zoveel ouderen schijt hebben aan de toekomst van hun kleinkinderen! En ik roep iedereen op om daar oplossingen voor te vinden!

Want blijkbaar zijn het toch echt de ouderen (en ja, ook mijn generatie X) die in meerderheid de donkere toekomst van deze planeet en haar bewoners niet in willen zien of niet kunnen zien. Dit komt door de (grotendeels witte) privileges die zij bezitten en waarvan ze bang zijn om afstand van te doen. En wie bang is om iets te verliezen (hoe onterecht ook bemachtigd) slaat van zich af.

Natuurlijk zijn er #boomers en gen-X'ers die wel oog hebben voor de toekomst van hun (klein)kinderen en de planeet. En die omarm ik met alle liefde! 💚 Maar laten we werk maken van het aanspreken van jullie (en mijn) leeftijdsgenoten! Niet de #jongeren moeten aan de slag, maar de #ouderen, de oudere jongeren en de jongere ouderen!
