A beautiful, bright Saturday morning out there.
I needed to hear Johnette Napolitano’s voice this morning.

This, Free, and Walking In London are all phenomenal records, and as soon as Bloodletting is over, I immediately need to listen to Walking In London.
They are two I cut my CB teeth on as a kid.

“Joey” is the big recognizable jam here, but the whole album is great.

Not a happy record AT ALL.
It is essentially Johnette’s diary of her particularly bad relationship at the time, and even she herself says it’s a dark, self indulgent record to help deal with all the turmoil.
It’s very dark, but very sincere and honest.

Besides… Peter Buck is on it!

Such an underrated band.
