As a #GenX -er, I remember Dolly at the peak of her, what? 60+ yr career.
Her talent was undeniable; but she was born a poor girl. So, I found it interesting how she allowed herself to be something of a punch-line in order to get a foothold in a man's world.
As a kid, you heard about her chest size long before you heard her music. This was deliberate (plastic surgeries, eg). "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap," she joked.
Then she used her platform to do tremendous good. #Legend 🏆

This study is a couple years old but found only 28% of football players didn't have CTE and that concussions aren't associated as much as blows to the head (n=631). Each year of football increases your odds of getting cte by 15%. Every 1000 blows to the head increase your odds by 21%.Not just football, any contract sport that includes blows to the head. #genx #dodgeball
