  1. CMS is ending the Medicare Part D Premium Stabilization Demonstration on December 31. The program paid a monthly subsidy toward standalone drug plan premiums, $15 per member in 2025 and $10 in 2026, and capped how far those premiums could rise year over year. Without it, the increases land in 2027 plan pricing.

National Campaign for Justice has a letter to Congress asking them to preserve it.

  11. #Seniors #WealthTranfer #Boomers . . .

Here's another interesting article in the #SFChronicle today.

**A historic transfer of wealth will be centered in the Bay Area. It may not look like you expect**

    sfchronicle.com/projects/2026/

This article is about the anticipated wealth transfer from Boomers (like me, who currently range in age from 62 to 80) to their family members (&/or to charities) after they die.

I'm generation skipping because my son turned out to be an ungrateful SOB. So, I currently plan to transfer all of my $/assets to my 2 grandchildren but, if they turn out to be ungrateful SOBs too, I'll give it all to charity.

I don't feel like I owe any of them anything & I don't want them to know how much $ they're likely to receive because I don't want that knowleege to affect how they relate & treat me before I die.

All I'd like to get some unsolicited attention & respect from them as their grandfather &, if I get that, they'll get the $. Otherwise not!

    We'll see . . .

#STForum: Are #seniors at risk of losing independence amid #digitalisation push?
"if more activities moved to the digital platform, would this lead in the future to seniors being misdiagnosed as having early onset #dementia when it could be that they are just not digitally competent? .. How can #policymakers make things simple for seniors instead of adding more layers to hinder them from being #independent?" #technology #society

#STForum: Digitalisation push causing #seniors to be left out of CC events🇸🇬
"QR code registration is a complicated process for many – they may not know how to scan QR code, login using their #Singpass & input credit card details .. My mother said tt due to compulsory digital registration many of her elderly friends exclude themselves fr CC activities .. The push for #digitalisation .. should not come at a cost to #seniorcitizens’ independence & #dignity"
