The Hauger signing makes sense to me. Even without Andretti he brings a bit of funding with him, he had some really bright spots in really shitty equipment this year as a rookie and he was great in Indy NXT. He's the only rookie of the 3 this year I felt actually could have the juice to be a series regular for a multiple years going forward.
Plus, it looks like Santino is out of a ride because the other Foyt seat requires a lot more funding than he has typically had to bring, and it couldn't happen to a more deserving shitheel of a person.

Really hope Indycar doesn't take the coward's path and approve Josh Pierson due to his one-off win. The kid couldn't even finish top 10 in Indy NXT points, he has no business being in an Indycar unless he can take that late season momentum and turn it into a top 3 run next year.
I'm a big fan of their new rule limiting which NXT drivers qualify for approval cause this trend of hiring drivers who finish like 6th-11th in point but bring a truckload of money just to struggle most weeks really needs to end. We'll never get rid of pay drivers, but at least we could limit the grid to only the most successful pay drivers.
