#PennedPossibilities 1132. If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
My younger self would not believe me, so I'll let her figure it out for herself. She's pretty smart.
I think the main big things I've gathered over the years are you have to believe in your own stories and champion/celebrate them - trust your own judgement above other people's but *be* critical and hold yourself to a high standard. And don't *expect* anyone to read your books, because most people won't and that's OK. Oh, and don't bother querying agents. Soul destroying.

There is something. It's beyond global in scale and is all encompassing. It's inscrutable but few people pay much attention to it because it's too familiar and is too hard to fathom in its entirety. It stands as a reminder to the one who remembers stories of The Fall and the few who study the artifact that a civilization greater than theirs… vanished† .
I can't describe it because that would be spoilers.

All eight pyramids in the Holy Empire are reminders of the terrible war that happened centuries ago. They were built to protect the people of the Holy Empire, holding up the magical Veil.
They look like an Aztec pyramid, with stairs on one side and half-orb on top. They are often stained with blood.

I don't really pay attention to music genres. Probably some sort of dance pop. Something not too serious against a backdrop that is incredibly serious.
Anyone seen the Aqua music video for "Cartoon Heroes"? Maybe like that?

1130. If your MC could have a do-over and another life, one of their own choice this time, what would their profession be?
She'd be a master druggist. She is a tyro druggist already and loves the work.
But she wouldn't want a do-over. Her life is dangerous, but she likes it as it is, especially all the new people in her life she'd never have met otherwise.

Doc would want a life in which she runs away with her girlfriend as a teenager, and in which she becomes a general practitioner instead of working in R&D at a biotech company.
The same worldwide disaster would probably still happen, and Doc wouldn't be in the right place to help. That would be bad for everyone else.
