Hit pay dirt with the new one, and got so lost in it that the next time I looked at the clock it was half past six. No chance of hearing back now, so gave myself permission to veg in front of Netflix for the night.

Young Rowan has joined my magic school today. Who'd have thought that a future king of Firand would want to learn advanced magic? But then, he's learned his basic spells in toddlerhood, just like Bella's own children do.
He's also become best friends with Sage. After Queen Avey's visit, they now both want to become form shifters.
Sage always wants to learn new things, she has that from me, I suppose. And Rowan is following her around like a puppy. They are a handful, but they make me hopeful for the future.

It has been more than ten years since I got some sense knocked into me by Cherie literally punching me in the face. She had warned me not to hurt her friends, I had agreed not to, I did it anyway because I wasn't thinking. I like to think that in that moment when it started to hurt, I understood everything.
I'm proud of myself for keeping my faith in the people who care about me since then. I learned that caring only about myself (and Doc and Rosa) is not an option, that always means surrender to those who want to harm and exploit others rather than ignore them and coexist.
I learned to get along with Sara, which made it possible to start helping Charlotte. Now we're "Ito, Fuchs & Associates". That's how much can change in a decade.
