  1. #WorldOfOntyre 14

Locations are mentioned in a prompt today, and that applies to me.

As I slowly develop a new Pannulus Mystery while editing a Kovenlore novel, I’ve graduated to addressing the primary location (I have the opening one).

I think I know the where, but now must come the details: culture, people, sights, etc.. It’s the backdrop “character” that supports all others.

    Be everwell.

I’ll admit that my covers aren’t spectacular, though they do have catchy elements.

Oddly, the one element that was unintentional is how the eyes (Riparia’s eyes) in the title trick the viewer. At least, they do me.

If I focus on them, my eyes attempt to create a face out of the map background. After making a mock first cover, I knew I had to keep the feature.

  11. #WorldOfOntyre 12
From Book-5 of the Kovenlore Chronicles:

A shadow detached from the wall. Wizards were strange by nature, but Magnester was stranger than most. Long, curly gray hair. Mustache drooping to his chest. Rumpled dark suit and robe. He had a knack for moving about Grandle and avoiding royal scrutiny.

He also had a mysterious connection to Mother.
