#WordWeavers 10/13: What is something your MC would risk their life to protect but would struggle to explain why?

It's Elric. She would risk her life to save him. And if, later on, he asked Zerika why she did it, she wouldn't be able to answer him. Not properly, anyway. She might say, "Because you're needed by this world," or something to the effect. But he'd know there was more to it. He would be able to see it in her eyes, even if he couldn't unravel the truth. In the end, it's also because she loves him.

#WordWeavers 10/12: Which relationship in your story changed the most from what you originally planned?

It's definitely Grigga and Zerika's friendship, which grows and eventually comes later, that changed the most for me. I really love the direction things took. Those two could use more friends. Grigga's friendly, owns a tavern and inn, but she's seen true war and knows heartache. She hides it all behind her friendly demeanor, though. For Zerika, friends are hard to come by. Opening up to Grigga wasn't easy, but it was more than worth it in the end. They understand each other in a way that so few ever will. They've seen too much bloodshed in their lives, and it's finally time for some joy.

#PennedPossibilities 1154: MC POV: Name a time you laughed the hardest. With who, and why?

Zerika: While I can’t really remember when I’ve laughed the hardest, I do remember absolutely laughing my arse off recently. It was when I was out one evening at Grigga’s tavern. She and I were laughing at something Elric had either said or done, I can’t remember which, and he was grouchy. Well, I say *grouchy,* but he was actually trying to hide a smile… Anyway, far too much alcohol was involved and a good time was had by all.

The power that she (meaning Zerika) doesn't yet realize that she possesses. She wants it for herself. The same could be said about Elric as well. She desires his ancient wisdom and magickal power as well.
