Always! The big obvious one in Knight and Daemon is that Layla (the daemon) is a succubus, who feeds on magical energy extracted through ejaculation.
I've also got a couple of plans involving lust potions, and although I haven't got specific ideas for it yet, as soon as I came up with the phrase "demonic cumpact" I knew I had to make it happen.

(1/2) Though it is science fiction fantasy, and thus not technically magic, I will point out there are day angels in the Reluctance Series. They have wings with feathers and can fly, and, since they are human, flight presents to the reader as magic mixed with technology. Regardless of it being spoilers, it is not to the point to explain how it works here. Being as the angelic are very human—there are night angels, too—of course they bring new meaning to the term "mile-high club." Very few are capable, though, because the skill required to fly tandem is very hard.
Share? Okay. Part 2 is a CW'd excerpt. Lightning Bolt, a day angel MC, who named herself that because she can fly fast, finds new meaning in her name…

After realising that not only does Fenia harbour none of the prejudices towards Moonmoths, but is actually curious and aroused by the brief demonstration of Fabiola's ice powers, Fabiola uses those on her during their very first session. She also uses one of her very expensive enchanted clamps on her. (She really wanted to impress her!)

I would like to write something set on the planet with the cat people, but the concepts from the prompt are alien to them.
In the House of the Ravens stories, it's implied there's a sexual side to Sara and Charlotte's religious views, and that there are things they have stopped doing because of unintended harm. (That might disappear when I edit, we'll see.) As for the characters with magic-like abilities, all of those abilities end up really problematic for mutual consent. Except teleportation. Maybe I lack imagination but I don't see how being able to teleport can be used during sex. Please note I did not write a question mark there. If you have ideas, write your own story!
I do have an idea for a story that includes sex magic / lustful ritual, in yet another setting.

I have very little supernatural stuff going on in the stories I'm writing/planning so far. One series in the early planning stages what will feature a succubus. So that's drawn from European and Christian traditions (even though I'm not remotely Christian!). 1/2

I find it easier to draw from Western European cultural heritage, partly because that's what I'm most familiar with, and partly because of a sense that it's somewhat mine to do what I want with. I also feel like myths from any ancient cultures are fair game. But I'll also sometimes include ideas that some living people believe, and mess about with them. I don't intend for my silly fantasy porn to cause offence, but I don't think it's worth walking on eggshells, either.

I enjoy taking real-world folklore and bending it or mashing different things together as a starting point for my supernatural stuff. I think it brings the audience's existing knowledge into play while also challenging any assumptions about how it all works, and that feels like superstition should.

For everything in Dryadis so far, yes. Nothing on the faith end because I have an intuition that would kick me in the ass in the long run.

Mainly Irish, English, and Greek at present.
Why?
Practical reasons. I could write things from Norse mythology, for example, but the average western audience has some misconceptions about certain spirits (due in part to misunderstandings relating to modern fantasy) that would make it kind of awkward for me to market it. For other things I could do where misconceptions are less of a factor (due to lesser exposure), I'd be starting from scratch with readers.
None of that is to say I wouldn't on those fronts. There is a front where I won't bother and that is anything where genitals would be not-normal for a human. Amazon has some arcane and unwritten rules there that limit what I can safely write and still sell. I could probably do something that was exclusive to Smashwords but the only exclusivity I've done so far is something that was exclusively not on Amazon.

I wasn't going to answer this because I don't do supernatural.
But I suppose you could argue that I have things like ghosts (they aren't ghosts), I could have things like vampires (they wouldn't be vampires) in exactly the same way I have dragons that aren't dragons.
But they aren't supernatural because they are part of the world, therefore natural.
(This is the fundamental problem I have with the term itself. If it exists, it's natural. It may be weird, it may be unexplained but it's still natural because it exists. The entire "supernatural" concept is meaningless as far as I'm concerned.)

I write mythpunk, which means I draw from myth, legend and folklore.
I draw most heavily from Japanese sources but not exclusively so. My Wandering Witch stories are based on fairy stories. Time Traveling Ghost has used Christian mythology. There are instances of Chinese mythology as well.

I prefer to make up my own supernatural stuff, it works better for my worldbuilding. My biggest abandoned writing project (not erotica) had new creatures as well as elves and various creatures from European myth. It wasn't the reason it failed, but I did feel mixing tradition and new was awkward and don't want to do that again.
What I'm writing now does have characters using existing words with new meanings. They're tragically wrong about what "changelings" are in their world.
It is easy to cause offense when using religious concepts from a different culture in fiction. Making it sexy will make it even worse, in the same way a culturally insensitive Halloween costume is even worse when it's sexualized. I'm glad I don't need to worry about that.

The idea of someone returning from the dead because of some deep desire (not necessarily sexual, but in aforementioned particular case it arguably was a depraved sexual desire) was a theme I returned to more than once after reading some of Lovecraft's stories.

But yes, I've also written this in other ways as well. I'm a spooky writer. I love horror, romance, etc. Love persists. Death is of no consequence.

This is a good question. It's a feeling, a state of mind, emotions that wash over you, etc. Inner thoughts are important as well.
Here's an example:
Across the room, Malcolm met her eyes. It was a long look, one that spoke volumes and made the hair on the back of her neck rise. There was a spark of desire there, and she had to take a deep breath. Clearly, Malcolm couldn’t actually hear their conversation, not with how deeply he was enjoying talking to his nieces and catching up, but she found the timing odd. She wanted nothing more than to drag him upstairs right now.

You could say Freya, Scio, and Oneiroi desire each other beyond death. They're part immortal abstract entities stewarding an aspect of reality, who float around the cosmos together. They're doing a bit of a corporeal dance presently, but they've already desired each other for multiple eternities, and time isn't all that linear in Ethereal.
A star, a shadow, and a nebula, perpetually waltzing around existence.

Yes. Not big-D Desire as the hashtag might prefer, but little-d immortal desire fitting with the eerie nature of this month's first prompt. The MC is a woman shaman in an SF lost-generation-ship setting. The man was the MC's best friend's bodyguard and man-servant, with a deeper relationship implied. After saving his employer's life, he comes back as the shaman's second guardian whom only the shaman can see—a black leopard being her first. He wants to help the shaman protect her best friend and convincingly talks to his former employer through the shaman as an intermediary, though there are infuriating limitations and things he won't do or say. To the shaman, her guardians exist as if in the room with her—she can see, hear, and physically feel them, but they're ethereal and disappear when they couldn't co-exist or become intransigent.
The reader may grow to question if shaman's guardians are real or whether the woman is delusional but manages her mental illness extremely well. The story touches upon on the psychology of charisma and success as well as the difference between greatness and insanity.

I think Jessie in #LivingForJessie is my first one that completely fits that description. Her body is quite dead, but her mind still exists. Explaining how would be a huge spoiler and would need a content warning about the way she died.
Jessie was still in love with Holly (Doc) when she died, and nothing about her changed after.
She's not a ghost, zombie, vampire, or anything like that. Although the book will still be lovely when you know how it ends, I refuse to tell any more than I have.

Instead of quoting a dictionary, I'll define the word thusly:
Arousal; noun, state of being. A waking to a contextually defined stimulus that draws interest consciously, subliminally, or autonomically.
I see the word as a psychological term. The word requires adjectives to imply less seemly narratives. Speaking of which, in the following #excerpt from Reluctant Courier (for the Mob) it isn't too difficult to deduce what interests Bolt, a day angel woman with wings, and her friend, Shugh.

He (or she if we use modern pronouns) is wingless but very human, and he just saved her from a bonehead maneuver where he caught her before she fell off a building. Whether her wings could have saved her from the twelve story drop without injury is debatable, but the grabbing her wrist in time isn't. His action changed her perceptions of him, which he reflects back at her. The pair are very different in all so many ways that have kept any attraction previously at bay, but…
Another glance confirmed. He was male. Which brought back flashes of handsy Teri, our passion hours ago, and what I had found she had missing, that which he had. The voice in my head asserted, Reasonably Cute. Available, too.
My heart thudded. Oh, flap.
He stood, dusted himself off, then approached. I scooted the chair back, the legs making a muted shriek, until it struck the wall. To answer the first part of the question, I think "arousal" is an interesting word in a somewhat similar way to "erotica".
We often think of the sexual first, but it's actually describing a really broad spectrum of human experience. Arousal is just the activation of something within.
I think we have a lot of taboos that separate sexual experiences from all other experiences, and I think we're so much richer when we understand them as connected.

I feel like I really missed the opportunity to do themed #EroticMusingsQ's with numbers like 34 and 69. Ah well.
Well, with a generous helping of innuendo, apropos to this week's "theme" number, I plotted in a scene, this morning trying to wake up, in a planned side story in the Reluctance Series (see below) where a reluctant young man is "thanked" by his BFF (a young woman his age he's known since childhood) for his sharing her with a new found friend. However, he's well trained and never selfish: He ensures the feeling is mutual!
Answer:
As my preamble above implies, my way-too-detailed SCs and their backstories have inspired a number of side-stories, usually fleshing out their backstory. The one above is a gay romance that takes place simultaneously with a main story, and yes, he's closeted in his backstory, only to be lovingly guided out in the romance—but in his youth he's accommodating of his BFF. My current WIP, Reluctant Courier (for the Mob) is actually a novel-sized side-story that takes place covering a timespan from the end of a prequel (another side-story!), a main story, and that main story's sequel. One SC was so empathetic and interesting that the side-story plotted itself with a few intersecting scenes written in the two novels from the POV of each novel's MC. This is very fun to write, especially when narrators are paying attention to different things and have totally different world views, and consequently different explanations for what's happening.
Indeed, my first novel that sold was itself inspired by another novel (never finished) with an SC so fascinating that I stopped at the 10th chapter, wrote a treatment, then wrote that novel instead.

Sure! Most of the Dryadis stories are ones that were inspired by other thoughts I had while working on previous ones. The Real Hot Games stories beyond the first are inspired by the previous ones. While I do have a plan, I didn't start with a plan for three of the four stories I plan to have in the series.

My world building tends to lead to prequels.
I've been thinking my poll story (see quoted post) could be a first draft for a game. Exploring all the paths not taken could be interesting. I also wouldn't have to keep that version SFW 🤭
