  1. By some spooky dark magic (a.k.a. the perfectly normal passage of time) it's already time for the last #EroticMusingsQ of Oddtober?!

#EroticMusings 74. Do you invite the unknowable into your process? Do you seek guidance in dreams? Do you draw cards or throw dice to decide your characters' fates?

  2. How's your blood sugar? Ready for another #EroticMusingsQ?

#EroticMusings 73. Does your setting include sex magic, lustful rituals, or horny technology? Share an example!

  3. Another Sunday, another #EroticMusingsQ

#EroticMusings 72. Are the supernatural elements (both tangible and matters of faith) within your erotica drawn from the real world? Do any particular cultures inform your work more than others? Why?

(I've decided to stop coming up with short forms for long questions like this. I've noticed nobody uses them, and people tend alter the question format to meet their preferences anyway, so I figure people who need a short form will just make their own.)

  4. It's that time of the year when Americans mix chai spices and pumpkin soup with their coffee in a blatant attempt to anger God. Time for our first #EroticMusingsQ of the spooky season!

#EroticMusings 71. Have you ever created characters with desire that persisted beyond death?

  5. I just prepped November and December's #EroticMusingsQ's, and I think I may have jumped the shark. Apologies in advance, #EroticMusings peeps. πŸ˜…

  6. I feel like I really missed the opportunity to do themed #EroticMusingsQ's with numbers like 34 and 69. Ah well.

#EroticMusings 69. Have you ever been inspired by your own work to create something different? (e.g. created a spinoff or a sequel that wasn’t originally planned.)

(A long one with no alternate form, this week, but if you've got a tight character limit, you might want to leave off the parenthesis)

  7. This week's #EroticMusingsQ is a PoV (Point of View) question. Answer it from the perspective of any character you like, major or minor.

#EroticMusings 68. PoV (any character) What's your biggest romantic turn-on? What's your biggest sexual turn-off?

  8. A bright and early #EroticMusingsQ for you!

#EroticMusings 67. What's something in your workplace (other than the essential tools) which helps you create?

  9. Last #EroticMusingsQ of August! (I'm glad I went on a big question-writing bender a few months back and already have September ready, because I don't have that in me, right now.)

#EroticMusings 66: How would your characters feel about the way eroticism is perceived in your own culture?

  10. Here it is, here it be, another #EroticMusingsQ for ye.

#EroticMusings 65: Is your creative space tidy or chaotic? Is that important, or just how it is?

Fun fact: "ye" and "you" are archaic words meaning "y'all".
Less fun fact: The correct one to use back there was "you" (ye is to you as I is to me) but it didn't rhyme.

  11. This week's #EroticMusingsQ is one of those ones where the answer might just be "no" for some people, sorry! But I'm hoping that even if your work is set in our world, you might have a fictional subculture to talk about.

#EroticMusings 63: Do you create cultures, ethnicities, or even sentient species for your work? How do you go about it?

  12. Apologies in advance to the folks who like to line up all their hashtag games like #EroticMusings at the start of the month - I won't be able to share the #EroticMusingsQ's for September until Sunday.

  13. Clumsily posting this week's #EroticMusingsQ on my mobile, since I'm away from home.

#EroticMusings 61. PoV (any character) What do you excel at at in the bedroom? What just isn't your thing?

  14. Bleh. Sleep cycle is a mess and I'm still up at 6am, so I might as well post this week's #EroticMusingsQ

#EroticMusings 60. PoV (any character) What's is the dirtiest thing you've ever said, or heard?

  15. This week's #PennedPossibilities-inspired #EroticMusingsQ makes me realise that even though I have a settings category, I seldom ask questions about props or even scenes.

#EroticMusings 59. PoV (any character) Name three erotic things that you have in your bedroom.

  16. Well will you look at that? It's Sunday again - time for a new #EroticMusingsQ!

#EroticMusings 58. PoV (any character): Describe your first time.

(Based on Penned Possibilities 6. MC POV: Describe your first kiss.)

  17. Oopsie, it's another long #EroticMusingsQ with two short forms!

#EroticMusings 57. (Narrative Musers) What do you try to achieve with the opening scene of an erotic work? OR (Non-narrative Musers) What's the first thing you try to draw a viewer's attention to?

    Short forms:

#EroticMusings 57s1. (Narrative Musers) What do you try to achieve with the opening scene of an erotic work?

#EroticMusings 57s2. (Non-narrative Musers) What's the first thing you try to draw a viewer's attention to?

  18. The short forms are provided for folks on instances with tight character limits (I ran into my own character limit just asking the question twice.) I hope having two short #EroticMusingsQ's won't cause too much chaos this week.

  19. This #EroticMusingsQ is an either/or, so there's 2 short forms

#EroticMusings 56. If you could start over, are there things you would change about your setting? Or if you’re just starting off, are there aspects of your setting that you’re worried about locking in?

    Short:
#EroticMusings 56s1. If you could start over, are there things you would change about your setting?

#EroticMusings 56s2. If you’re just starting off, are there aspects of your setting that you’re worried about locking in?

  20. Hi folks, I've just moved servers to kinkycats.org, so I'm reposting the #EroticMusingsQ's to pin to my new profile.

Hopefully this move will mean that I'm better able to see and boost the folks who've been engaging with the hashtag from .social

    This week's prompt is:
#EroticMusings 54. Why/when/how did you start making erotica?

  21. For this week's #EroticMusingsQ, let's start at the very beginning. (A very good place to start.)

#EroticMusings 54. Why/when/how did you start making erotica?

  22. Hi folks. From last week's fictional unreality, this week's #EroticMusingsQ takes us back to our actual reality.

#EroticMusings 47: How much time do you spend making erotica in a week? Do you have a regular schedule?

  23. All right, my furry and fuzzy erotic musers, it's time for another #EroticMusingsQ (From now on I'll be using this hashtag with the Q for questions or, as always, you can find them pinned to my profile)

#EroticMusings 24: Body hair - everybody grows it! But you wouldn't know it from the ripped abs of romance covers or the smooth mounds of porn. Does your work include and/or eroticise hairy bodies?

    Short form:
#EroticMusings 24: Does your erotica include and/or eroticise hairy bodies?

  24. @pentup
A shout out to say how much I love this prompt even though my works incorporate spice and aren''t specifically erotic. Depends on the reader's state of mind, of course. This set of prompts are all interesting. 23 prompted a deep think about myself, but weeks 24 and 26 play roles in the current work, which addresses and confronts the expressions of gender roles. I look forward to answering them. Please keep it up! #EroticMusings

P:S: Could you please consider using the #EroticMusingsQ tag for your main prompts post so we can find the prompts specifically in search? Thanks!
