I've just been informed that #Microsoft is discontinuing support for the Office 2021 student plan I bought a one-time purchase of that just contains Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Even though I graduated nearly a decade ago, it's all I need really.

I have zero interest in purchasing an individual subscription for the latest version of Office. I hate subscriptions and avoid them as much as possible. Plus why bother when I only use Word & Excel?

Now I'm using #Scrivener more for my writing lately and other personal writing projects on Word I think I can just easily convert them to #Proton docs and save #Google for docs I share with family. I haven't been successful at convincing my family to use Proton yet.

Windows and Microsoft are convenient but they're also greedy, typical Big Tech.
