Really interesting article. A lot of it goes over my poor D math student head. But I get the gist. It's about how far you can take approximations at different scales. If you're only going short distances, the earth is flat. Works at least as well as measuring distances by paces or "day's journey," etc. But it raised a lot of even trippier questions...

Worldwide, JN.1 is absolutely the dominant variant/mutation set right now, even if it hasn't filtered through everywhere less populous yet.
