#AIAlignment is a form of "build a sense of what is right and wrong, allowed and not allowed". Ie a simple sense of morality.
Except the proposed morality is pissweak. These "safeguards" can be disabled at the whim of the vendors so they can boast about how powerful these systems are, how many systems they could have hacked, how they must be controlled.

In the 1950s, Kamchatka’s vast Pacific salmon runs became the center of a fisheries crisis and Cold War dispute. Soviet officials blamed expanding Japanese high-seas fleets for threatening stocks, while Soviet research had also implicated domestic fishing, forestry damage, and climate. Spawning returns later fell sharply in monitored rivers. The crisis helped drive Soviet-Japanese catch limits and joint scientific management of a migratory resource. #salmon #libertarian

If I had to sum up the big difference between MAGA Republicans and Libertarians, it is that they both want the exact same cruelty and inhumanity, but they go about it differently.
A MAGA Republican would want a new law saying that being LGBTQ+ is illegal.
A Libertarian would argue that less government is better, and so any laws protecting LGBTQ+ people should not exist.
A MAGA Republican would want a law allowing them to have a child bride.
A Libertarian would want the law regarding the age of consent removed, once again arguing that less government is their goal.
One wants to add rules to impose upon people; the other wants to remove all safety and security, so harming people is not against the law. Or, to put it another way: one wants your government to seek you out, while the other wants your government to turn a blind eye.
When these two work together --- horrible things happen.

These people would privatize both roads and sidewalks, so that every time you take a step out your front door you'd be paying a toll. They're so pro-corporate that I once heard a debate where they were arguing the merits of charging people to breathe fresh air and drink water too.
Do you want to have no consent laws? These people are pro-rape, pro-incest, pro-child bride, and believe women are property. In fact, some of them believe you should have the right to "claim" a wife as you see fit. Can you imagine walking, minding your own business, and some random dude pronouncing he's claimed you, and now you're his? They're also very big on multiple wives and large families too.
Ethnic cleansing? Listen to a Libertarian telling you how we should have selective breeding programs and selective stabilization too. These people watched the movie "The Purge" and thought that was a good idea.
Their only debate regarding the LGBTQ+ community is whether there is more value in "reeducation" or putting them in gas chambers, which they argue would be the humane method.
Honestly, Libertarians make MAGA look like a kid-friendly version of Mickey Mouse on a Saturday-morning cartoon show by comparison.
Like MAGA, they all start out talking about less government and more freedoms, but it does not end there.
The last thing you want is those people gaining a foothold anywhere -- ever.
The so-called "libertarians" around here are more conservative than the current MAGA Republicans. In fact, they're so extreme and scary, they almost make MAGA look like a kid-friendly version of Mickey Mouse on a Saturday-morning cartoon show by comparison. I think some of these people would even give Adolf Hitler a run for his money — they're that extreme.
My fear was that their little independent party would gain even more momentum. At that point, it truly will be every man, woman, and child for themselves. And god save us, because no one else will.

You just might be a #libertarian. I guarantee you we already agree one quite a bit; probably more than you realize.

Turns out the #libertarian and quite a few #corporations supported #gay rights long before the #democrat did.
