"Former neo-Nazi who makes ‘AI slop’ videos picked as Tory council candidate

A convicted former neo-Nazi has been selected by the Conservatives as their candidate for a council election in Somerset.

Joshua Bonehill-Paine is now best known as the creator of the popular Crewkerne Gazette accounts on social media, which mock Labour and Reform politicians using AI-generated videos.

But previously, he was jailed over a flyer he made and posted to promote a planned neo-Nazi rally in Golders Green, home to a large number of Jewish people.

He described it as an ‘anti-Jewification event’ and said it would be ‘an absolute gas’, seemingly a reference to the gas chambers used in the Holocaust.
The resulting 2015 conviction for inciting racial hatred was one of several incidents in which the activist found himself on the wrong side of the law."

Je ne me souviens pas avoir eu connaissance de ce scandale en février 2026 : le British Museum avait retiré les mots Palestine et palestiniens ainsi que la référence à "l'occupation des terres palestiniennes par les Israelites" de plusieurs exhibitions sur l'ancien Moyen-Orient, à l'époque des égyptiens et des phéniciens.

C'est uine campagne orchestrée sur les réseaux sociaux et soutenue pâr un plainte déposée par les "avocats juifs pour Israël" qui aurait été à l'origine de cette censure, mê pas voilée (dsl).

Faux, rétorque la direction du British Museum, cela faisait plusieurs années que ces changements étaient envisagés et ce n'est qu'à la suite d'un "sondagez parmi les visiteurs" que la décision finale a été prise.

Dont act, il ne s'agirait donc que d'un simple "hasars" si cette censure intervient au moment le plus opportun pour les lobbyistes sionistes et le plus malvenu pour les palestiniens victimes d'un génocide.

On est priés de les croire sur parole et de ne pas sourire, sinon, vous n'êtes que des #antisemites

Chaque jour son lot de degueulasserie infâme et de déceptions en découvrant certain·es des signataires de cette tribune.

Parler de “délit de Palestine” et invoquer “les puissants” qui chercheraient à faire taire celles et ceux qui ne défendraient que la justice, la dignité, le droit international et le peuple palestinien est une narration totalement déconnectée de la réalité.

Non, il n’existe pas de “délit de Palestine”.

En revanche, l’apologie du terrorisme est un délit

Et c’est précisément ce que Rima Hassan a fait en faisant l’apologie d’un assassin ayant massacré 26 personnes au hasard dans un aéroport .

Par ailleurs, ce récit fantasmé opposant des “puissants” à des militant.es qui incarneraient seul.es la justice et la dignité alimente une vision victimaire et complotiste du monde.

Cette rhétorique, qui suggère l’existence de forces occultes muselant les “justes”, fait écho à des ressorts classiques de l’imaginaire antisémite .

I will never, EVER be a #Republican.

But lately I wonder if I can still be a #Democrat.

#Antisemitism is not now, nor was it ever, limited to the left. But whereas it was frequently tolerated on the right, most on the left treated it as wrong, and sidelined any characters who promoted it.

Now, prominent #antisemites feel right at home in the Democratic party. Democrats regularly engage in apologetics for characters like Mamdani, Graham Platner, and others; or worse, find no need to defend them at all.

The far left has fallen for the incoherent #Palestinian narrative hook, line, and sinker, much to the delight of terrorists the world over. Instead of shunning them, Democrats regularly talk about how to find candidates who would be more appealing to voters who are comfortable with the idea of murdering Israeli men, women, and children.

I will not vote for Republicans, and I will not vote for antisemites or antisemite apologists. I hope that leaves me with SOMEBODY to vote for nonetheless.
