Last Saturday I cut down the prickly pear in my parents' #garden because it had grown too tall and overflowed into the neighbor's garden. Circled in brown, where it was, in green the #leaves / #pads to #plant again in my #homestead, in red those to #compost .
Only one #needle stung me, but it was more than enough to convince me of their efficacy to deter intruders.
Another neighbor pleasantly chatted about #breaded and #fried #cactus pads. I gave him some.
