Hey, so, anyone know a cheap place to get a Catalina 27 rudder in the pacific NW? Or a fast and cheap place to get it rebuilt (or built from scratch, if that's a thing)?
Blackline can rebuild it, but it'll take a month.

The term “hosepipe ban” does not mean a blanket ban on any use of hosepipes, it means specific uses are restricted. You can check these on the website of the relevant water company. A little #hosepipeBan tip for anyone who lives around #boatLife folk. If you see someone using a hosepipe to fill their boat (or Van, or other domicile)’s water tanks, especially if it is a blue foodsafe hose, this is NOT a violation of the ban. This is equivalent to them drawing mains water for drinking and domestic use. We usually do not connect our boats directly to mains water pressure as this causes a sinking risk. So filling tanks is our only way to get domestic water supply. 1/2
