You need some opera in your weekend.
Philip Glass' Satyagraha is one of my very favourites. -
L’autre voie

Philip Glass – Satyagraha – Act II: Tagore – Confrontation & Rescue (1/2)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTFlB7Kq34A

⬆️ @GreenFire
It's time for Americans, and #Democrats in particular, to learn about #Satyagraha and implement that in our daily lives.
This is a legal, peaceful means of #protest that each of us can engage in on an individual basis, silently from home, and without relying on others.

#Palestinians need a #Gandhi, not Hamas.
What they desperately need is a Gandhi to lead them towards non-violent public action, civil disobedience, ability to carry out the powerful act of #Satyagraha. It may seem insurmountable in theory, but the power of non-violent public action is far more than any form of armed resistance. India suffered a partition that killed 1 million people and displaced 13 million. In 1947. Its the Gandhian philosophy that helped it overcome that tragedy. -

#TamilNadu is perfectly ok with #enslavement by #English (the colonists' language) but they don't want to use #Hindi, an indigenous language that evolved from and is an amalgam of many different #Indian languages and dialects.
Under ruse of #HindiImposition, the militant rhetoric of #DMK drove many of its followers to death by self-immolation, poisoning, and #AntiHindi riots, while the DMK leaders stayed away just like #Trump did on #Jan6 in #USA

CW: Moments with my whippet: Castorp and the rain
Walking Castorp in the rain. He moves a few steps, then stops. Looks at the world in quiet rejection. He does not tell the rain that it should not be, and he does not feel personally slighted by it. He merely refuses to cooperate with it. A few more steps, then he stops again, shakes himself and moves no more. This is how dictatorships are brought down.

Sikh farmers who were served water-cannons and tear-gas, providing drinking water to the very soldiers who attacked them. The word #Sikh comes from the word for "disciple" but they are teachers of strength, courage, and the true meaning of #Satyagraha.
