Advertiser is targeting their target audience. It is a reflection of you own insecurity that you feel threatened by #Hindi. It is #xenophobic to suggest that Hindi-speaking ones in #Karnataka or #Telangana do not deserve to be persuaded. Not questioning that people love their native language, but there is no reason to hate other languages.
Also, advertiser is not forcing anybody to prefer Hindi over their mother tongue. Forced #HindiImposition is another canard. #LanguageBigotry

@edendestroyer it is not something that “became a thing” recently. Hindi imposition has always been a thing for us and we are grateful for visionary leaders who foresaw this years ago lest we lose Thamizh like so many other languages that we have lost to #HindiImposition. I can get by with broken Hindi despite that thanks to friends from the Hindi belt who think it’s beneath them to speak any other language not knowing what they are missing out on. For us it’s another communication medium and we have no problem learning it if necessary. Just don’t shove it down our throats or anyone else’s for that matter. I stayed in France for a few years so I can speak a bit of French too…
